Appearance: Pitch black. Brownish tan/copper head.
Smell: Hard to discern. Light sweet cocoa.
Taste: Sweet cocoa and light coffee.
This is so good. The smell was difficult, but it was freezing outside and the glass of it didn't get a chance to warm. I'll update if I pick out something more. It was a sweet smell though. However, the taste was truly great. It was of sweet cocoa and coffee, with a slight alcoholic bite at the end. Really delicious. It poured like thick oil, and looked it too. I would definitely get this again.

12 oz bottle. Pours dark brown black with a medium creamy brown head that retains well and leaves some lacing.
The aroma is sweet lactic vanilla and chocolate with some dark fruit and acidic coffee roast.
The flavor is sweet vanilla with some dark fruit and a leathery roast coffee finish. The mouhfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation and is a bit watery.
Overall, it's a bit overly sweet for me and lacking in coffee.

Pitch black body while listening to some nice soul music on Spotify, while Kujo is tearing out guts WTF? Flying Dog is getting dark. This pours black with a mocha tan head forming thick with speckled sporadic lacing. Aroma bitter coffee notes with fruity tones as well, a very nice beer big chocolate roasted malts dark beer with a creamy dark action brewing. Flavor is all coffee highlights a bit of tree bark, fruit/herbal tones, and acidic coffee (black coffee) sweet artisan coffee, but damn delicious I like these Black dog roasters a match made in heaven. The label says this is vintage 12CC, okay I'll keep an eye on that as this beer gets drained. Like a strong coffee/dark chocolate infused ice brewed coffee, damn strong slightly astringent in the best possible way with fruity highlights trailing it out. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied dry roasted coffee finish very enjoyable beer being produced out there and I'm happy to say I'm converted excellent brewery with beer to match. Overall God bless America and this beer right here, I'm ready to get spiritual it might as well be about the new 12 ounce Kujo beer I can get at my local...I can't picture crazy West Virginians in Morgantown, WV downing this in number there may be a revolution.

Vintage 12BB.
Pours an absolutely pitch black with a 1 inch foamy super dark khaki head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small dots and streaks of lace cling to the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, cocoa powder, deep coffee aromas, and some cinnamon notes. Really nice. Taste is of dark roasted malt, chocolate chip cookie dough, and dark chocolate covered coffee/espresso beans. There is a roasty bitterness that lingers on the palate after each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slight crispness and a full bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good stout with a fantastic smell. The coffee aromas in this beer are done really well in my opinion. However, the flavor just isn't quite as good as I was expecting based on the smell.

I had this on tap at Shady McGrady's-served in a snifter.
The color is opaque black body with a thick 2 fingers of creamy beige which settles to a ring. The lace sticks and holds and the bead is fine. The smell is strong of coffee -like freshly ground coffe, sweet and roasty with nutty accent, hardly any aroma from the base just full on coffee. The feel is thick, rich and viscous with slight oily accent from the coffee with nice body and carbonation, very good balance yet slight astringency of the bean.
The flavor is really good -totally dominated by the coffee which is rich and roasty with slight fruity taste which could be from the yeast too. The flavor is nice with some mild dark fruit perhaps raisin and caramel in the background and light spice. The finish is pretty much the same as the entry which is lightly nutty and semi-sweet. Overall an incredible beer, it seems to be more coffee than stout which is usually not that good, but in this case it works-good coffee flavor with nice supporting stout taste.

Part of WFM craft pack, this is outstanding.
Suggest a big glass, let it warm, sip slowly. last of the night.
A: Pours black, with a thick finger of milk mocha head, fore bearer of the mocha flavor to come. Good amount of creamy bunching, lacing, and stickiness.
S: Aroma offers a latte coffee or mocha bouquet with a mix of chocolate, caramel, and green citrus.
T: Follows smell, with a more chocolatey, caramel front than most, almost too sweet, but really nothing to argue with. Assertive milky coffee is the finish. Beer finishes dry and burnt roasty, good feeling.
F: The mouthfeel is full bodied, creamy with full alcohol liquorish body and warmth.
Excellent bigger Coffee Stout, with a lot of mocha coffee, emphasis on chocolate. If that's your style, this is your stout.

A- I'm not sure really why this category matters because all beers look different but as i pored it out it was pitch black, typical imperial stout. There was a good head on it as well. pretty appealing to the eyes
S- Not getting that much coffee but I am getting a very malty, bannanay smell too it. I do like the smell but I'm not getting those dried figs and plums that every reviewer tends to put down for imperial stout. Sometimes I wonder if they've actually had an actual dried fig, not a fig newton, or a dried plum.
tasted- Definitely getting that coffee bitterness taste typical of a stout but not so much any other characters of coffee. At the back end I'm getting that bannanay taste that i got in the aroma.
M-It's not particularly thick but it does have some body to it.
0-Pretty good beer. definitely would get this again. Not the best beer in the world, but far from the worst. I would like to get more of a coffee taste in it though.

This beer poured black, with no head to it.
Strong coffee aroma, a little chocolate.
Strong dark coffee taste. The chocolate was a little more of a presence.
Smooth and easy drinking,

12 ounce bottle from a sixer. "Vintage 11BB" (?) on the front label.
Pours basic black, under a darker tan head, that stays, leaves ample bits of fine lacing.
Nose is full milk chocolate, vanilla and some roasted malts.
Flavorful and enjoyable stout. Chocolate, lite cafe au lait, some more vanilla and a hint of bourbon late...all mixing and meshing together in this super smooth on the tongue and easy drinking brew.
Well done and well worth a try.
Gotta love the Ralph Steadman label art and HST quote.
