Bottle poured into Delirium Tremens tulip glass.
Haven't had this for a few years and was one of the first coffee stouts that I tried when first venturing into the world of beer. I remember thinking it was amazing back then.
Pours a viscous black with tiny tan head. Smells of dark chocolate and instant coffee. Quite bitter and astringent; could do with a little more sweetness. Somewhat thin but oily mouthfeel. Not as good as I remember but still pretty decent. Cheers

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Pours pitch black with a small light brown head. Smells of roasted coffee and slight grape. Tastes of coffee and sweet fruitiness, but in a good balance. Beer is full bodied, good carbonation, and a nice sipper but still goes down easily. Overall, a very good beer.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. code of 036B16, so I'm guessing bottled February 2016?
Pours thick and oily. Jet black body, even when held up to the light. small dark tan head, which gradually dissipates to nothing at all. no lacing.
A boozy sweetness on the nose. Coffee is only faint.
Taste is a little tangy. Booze is certainly present. Coffee is only a suggestion, may have mellowed with the age? Roasted malt and vanilla are also present. Coffee and vanilla get a little more prominent a the beer warms up.
Mouth is about medium, a little on the thin side for an imperial stout. Faint alcohol burn on the back of the mouth.
Overall, a good sipping beer.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a black color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is mild, some coffee, chocolate. Taste is strong coffee, some sugars, light alcohol is present. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer, but I was expecting more.

On the sweeter and silkier end of the coffee beer spectrum. Had this several times, most recently a 2014 version at the brewery. Pours dark, smooth, rich coffee and a bit of roast in the nose. Mouthfeel is rich and smooth, velvety with milky sweetness up front to balance the coffee bitterness. Always solid, always good to great.
