While karma's biting you in the ass, it's kissing his. A profit of prosperity, he's the guy you love to hate. And just when you think his fate's on the brink, that bastard's life falls right back into place.

Served in a Lagunitas mason jar.

I thought Steadman was English... Anyway, this stuff pours a clear russet topped by a finger of glowing dirty white foam. The nose comprises lightly-toasted caramel, dark greens, and a whiff of candied orange peel. The taste brings in more of the same, plenty of greenery around to spruce the place up (for once, pun not intended). The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a sorta/kinda drying finish. Overall, a meek, uninteresting, and bland Irish red. Doesn't deserve that awesome label.

Poured from a bottle into pint glass in April 2015.

Appearance: Dark red with thin tan head.

Smell: Pleasant, with an earthy aroma as well as some malty sweetness and some hops. Smells almost like a lager.

Taste: Interesting taste. There is a strong hop flavor with some sweetness. Also some spice and earthy flavors. But the flavor is dominated by the hops.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied.

This is an interesting Irish red ale. It has a nice balance of hops, and the flavor is not overpowered by the alcohol.

12 oz. bottle poured into a Burley Oak snifter (182A15)

This one gushed out of nowhere. Not bad, but open popping the lid it foamed up and over the bottle. It went straight from my fridge to the counter. So I don't know what the issue was.

A: Copper with the slightest tinge of ruby. A collar, but no lacing.
S: Interesting sugar character to it.
T: Different from an American Red Ale for sure. Weird kind of dryness to it. You can almost taste the clovers in it. The dryness kind of grows on you. Not bad on a hot day probably. Mostly a light malt to it.
M: Pretty straight forward carbonation.
O: I wish this beer the best of luck.
