L- Mid gold but quite cloudy. Bottle was rested for c2weeks, and carefully handled but the sediment lifted very quickly towards the end of the pour, with lot's more remaining in the bottle. (I mention in case anyone else isn't much into having fizzing clump-floaters rising/sinking in their glass and fast killing the carbonation). Pours with 5mm decent looking white head.
S- Quite pungent wheaty smell to it, like a aromatic timber smell, perhaps vaguely spicy too.
T- It seems rather thin, in itself, for 6% (should be a decent foundation to build from) and it's taste doesn't seem very distinct/clean/clear. I don't note anything wrong as such (out of line etc), just it's not aligning the stars for me either.
F- Richer than say a German wheat beer. The latter are good refreshing beers in summer, this one less so, so either way I'd suggest others serve this one properly chilled.
O- Pretty disappointing. I don't really get a clear identity here, at least not one that works well for me.
Bought from BelgiumInABox (Antwerp/BE) and delivered to me in London/UK. 330ml bottle. BB: 12/03/2022.
ps. The lable is now completely redesigned vs that pictured above. It's now much more modern/urban with stencilled paint theme focused on the main very large logo '1979'.

Pours a hazy golden color with a medium top of white head that dissolves quickly.
Aroma is of yeast, peppercorns, apples, pears, citrus peels and corriander. The flavours is fruity and spicy with some slight malty notes in the back. The finish has a sour profile that suits quite well along with the fruity notes. Aftertaste has a good lenght, and imagine it will be very refreshing on a hot day. Mouthfeel is smooth and clean with a prickly carbonation and a light body.
A quite good and refreshing witbier.

330ml bottle from Carrefour, Brussels (€1.95):
This one was quite a fresh & balanced beer with some nice spices alongside the banana sweetness & cloves, although I couldn't help but think it seemed a little subdued at times too. It was easy to drink & pleasant in the summer heat without really standing out & in truth I've had better witbiers from other breweries so I'm not sure it's one that I'd pick up again in truth.

The beer pours a clouded dark gold colour with a half inch white head. Aroma is wheat, spices, and yeast. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. Flavour is a bit funky with notes of yeast, wheat, and spices.

330ml bottle - a 'double wit', which is a new thing for me, I do believe.

This beer pours a hazy, yet bright medium golden yellow colour, with a teeming tower of puffy, finely foamy, and creamy off-white head, which leaves some thick approaching landmass lace around the glass as it lazily recedes.

It smells of edgy Belgian yeast, gritty and grainy wheat malt, a bit of light stone fruitiness, faint earthy peppercorn spice, and very tame leafy, musty, and floral green hop bitters. The taste is bready and doughy pale malt, a lesser grainy wheatiness, some peach, apricot, and red apple fruity notes, a mixed coriander and pepper mill spiciness, ethereal Low Countries yeast, and more well understated earthy, herbal, and gently perfumed floral verdant hoppiness.

The carbonation is almost overwrought in its forceful frothiness, the body an adequate middleweight, and more or less smooth, once the bubbles settle the fuck down, that is. It finishes fairly off-dry, the mixed malt and attendant fruitiness running the after-hours show.

Overall, this is a pleasant enough embiggened version of the style, with the fruity aspects obviously benefiting the most from the bulking-up method employed here. Easy to drink, tasty, and with little to worry about from the extra point or so of the ol' wowee sauce.
