Black brew sitting under an impressive head of tan foam.

Roasted malt dominates the smell with both sweet and bitter notes. Chocolate is there and provides most of the bitterness.

Chocolate is on the sweet side in the taste. Roasted malt gives the bitter, I taste the oats in the background.

Smooth mouthfeel.

A nice brew, imho. Thanks Tyler!

12oz bottle. Served in a snifter glass.

Pours a dark black body, one finger offwhite head, fair retention, minimal lacing. Smells of roasted oats, a bit of smoke and char, small amount of milk chocolate, a bit of dark fruit. Flavour is chalky, a bit of char, mild roast, not a lot of other flavor. As mentioned, there is a lot of chalkiness, which really gets into the way of enjoying this. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, fair carbonation, as before, heavy chalkiness, an ashy finish. Overall, this was a very average to below average stout with way too much chalkiness and not much flavor to it.

12oz bottle, dated 9/22/15. Pours reddish black with a medium sized brown head. Smells of roasted malt, oats, and earthy hops; below average intensity. The taste follows exactly but is even weaker; malt, hops, oats, and some subtle chocolate. Pretty one-dimensional. Fairly thin mouthfeel and average carbonation. Overall, it's okay, but could really use more intensity and body.

That's What I'm Talkin' Bout Rolled Oat Stout pours a black color with a veyr small head. There is a big roasted aroma, hints of smoke, very malty. The taste is much the same, big roasted flavors, smoke, and a heavy malt backbone. A little flat, but good flavors. Overall its a very nice stout, no frills.

As a Rolled-Oats Stout goes this one has good texture. Most oat stouts come out with good flavor but last the required texture (thickness) which this beer gets right on the money.
