Mostly clear, amber color, with a bubbly head. Streak lacing. The aroma is light citrus, caramel, and herbs. The flavor is toffee, tangerine, grass, and grapefruit. Very bitter in the aftertaste, resinous. A beer worth trying out, but not necessarily something I'd purchase regularly.

I don't see any bottle date.

Appearance: The beer pours clear at first and then some large sediment started pouring in before I got half-way through the bottle. The bottom of the bottle started to pour heavy sediment (about 2-3 ounces) so I had to leave that out. The body of the beer is a murky tea color with a very thin white film of a head. No real retention other than the white film. It does leave good lacing on the glass.

Aroma: There is a nice light caramel aroma and just a light bit of a hop resin aroma. It has a very "East Coast" style scent despite being brewed in Washington.

Taste: There is some spruce flavor and just a touch of pine but it has this watered-down flavor in the middle of each sip and at the end. There is a nice bitterness but just not enough flavor.

Mouthfeel: It has good bitterness and the beer has a nice clear mouthfeel but it lacks a bit of texture to really hold itself to the palate.

Overall: At first the flavor tastes good but it slopes off very quickly and leaves only bitterness. While the flavors in the beer that are present at the beginning of each sip are good the overall drinking experience was just lackluster. I wouldn't drink it again and It isn't a beer I would really recommend.

Comes in a light auburn and amber appearance, darker than your average ipa these days SRM wise. Hit the c hop grapefruit notes.

Taste plenty bitter, average amount of hop grapefruit flavor. Malty. Toffee wood like malt notes. Some crystal malt.

Relatively average stuff with a good C hop bitterness kick, I'm sure you can find 100s of similar examples.

This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a glossy bronzed orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated pretty quickly. Lacing was sliding right on into the beer.
The smell had a semi-sweet orange citrus malt running into light caramel malt tones. Bitterness? Hmmm....seems a bit weak, I did get some light grassy hops somewhat there.
The taste was moderately sweet with a super light bitterness trying to make an effort for a stance in the flavor. The aftertaste was somewhat sweet through the orange and caramel malt base.
The mouthfeel had a light to medium on the body with an okay sessionability about it. Carbonation runs fairly light. There's a good bitter harshness about the feel.
Overall, for the most part, its a decent AIPA, but if anything, maybe a bit more oomph on the bitterness in the aroma and taste and this could be way better than I'm currently rating it. I wanna come back to this, but am hoping for better.
