Poured a meager 1/8" off-white head. The body is a flat-toned gold in masstone and held up to the light it's a little more of a hazy Sienna yellow. Very mild smell, even after warming, just a little malt. The taste is medium rich with Belgian sugar and malt and a hint of tropical fruit. One of the mildest tripels I've had. Easy drinking but overpriced at a little over $10.

Golden amber in the tall chalice with brief lacing and virtually no head. The yeasty bitterness of the Belgian flavors is quite apparent after a couple of sips. Seems quite dry at first, but gradually the malty sweetness reveals itself, then fades away. Rather nice sweet and smoky touch. Aftertaste is woody, almost astringent. Pleasant bitterness has the last word. Rather flat in the mouth. A little bit of pineapple in the nose.
22 oz bottle from the Jug Shop in San Francisco. No notches on the "Bottled on date" strip of the label. One of four in the "Reel Ales" series.
