Brewer's Advent Calendar 2020 #22

Orange gold, some haze, pours with a small white head, fades to a few wisps and a tiny collar
Pale grain, caramel grain, malt extract, bread, bread dough, some grassy hops with a touch of spice, yeasty flavors with some fruity esters, some grainy sweetness, touch of fruity sweetness, mostly clean finish
On the light side of medium, mostly crisp, carbonation on the lower side

This is an interesting Kellerbier; I know that the can is not particularly fresh (in theory I should have drank this two months ago), yet it tastes young. The doughy and yeasty notes are interesting, but ultimately it is a bit sweet.

Day 22 of the 2020 Costco Beer Advent calendar. Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours golden yellow with a fluffy white head. Smells of sweet grain, strong, but not much variety. Tastes of sweet cereal grain, nice strong flavor, but pretty plain. Beer is light bodied and very easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, an above average beer.

Slightly cloudy body; excellent head production and retention.

From nose to taste to feel to finish, this is an excellent beer and expert representation of the style. Balanced, crisp, and lively, with enough malt sweetness to make it stand out, but enough backing bitterness to keep it extremely drinkable.

L:. Pours a cloudy lemon yellow with a large foamy head that dissipates rather quickly and leaves no lacing.

S:. Fresh toasted bread, a hint of lemon, and sweet malt, followed by a floral hop.

T:. Toasted bread, a touch of banana and clove, and then a medium floral hop.

F:. Light body, pretty easy drinking.

O:. This is a pretty solid beer.

Around medium carbonation with a body that was just below average.
Aroma was malt,flour,grain,floral earthy honey.
Taste was grain, malt, had a sour bitter grainy taste that came off a little dry.
Overall was more dry, sour than I expected but still a very enjoyable beer that I wouldnt mind having again.

Brewers Advent Calendar 2020
Pours a pale gold with a yellow hue. Not much of a head to speak of.
Fruity smell with hints of lemon.
Taste is true to style. Grassy, yeasty and with a slight sweet finish.
Light body, easy to drink.

500ml can served in a big snifter. EXP 2022/05. Day 22 of my advent calendar.

Poured fairly clear until the last little bit came out of the can, releasing some cloudy filaments that eventually distributed throughout the beer, making it somewhat cloudy. Color is a bronze-yellow. Head was big and white, has settled to a modest ring with a light dusting and what appears to be a pretty substantial amount of carbonation. Smell is fairly muted, mostly grainy with a slight lemon aroma.

Taste is much richer. Lots of grain, lemon tending toward orange heightened by grainy sweetness, nice grassy background.

Mouthfeel is velvet. Overall, I quite enjoy this beer.

Beer #21 in the Costco Advent Calendar.

This one pours a slightly hazy golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like grassy hops, doughy malt, fruity yeast, and grain.

This one tastes the same - definitely one of the better beers so far in the Advent Calendar. It's got that slightly sweet doughiness and minerally/fruity character I expect from this style. There's a light but pleasant hop character to it.

This is surprisingly good stuff - the advent calendar has been average to mediocre overall so far.

Poured an orange-tinted (barely) gold body with decent head and minimal head. Grainy lager aroma with a touch of malts as well. Light, easy to drink, dry, a touch of malty sweetness underneath a grassy hoppiness. Finished easy and not bad (that’s all I got).

From the can in the 2020 Costco Advent Beer Calendar, it pours a hazy lighter amber with an inch thick head that soon reduces to a thin layer. In the nose, it is a bit of lemon/citrus and grain. In the mouth, the sharpish bite of carbonation, followed by the grainy flavor of the malt.
