Pours dark brown in color with a finger off white frothy head that has great retention.

Smell is good. Lots of wheat and some tropical fruit hops are forward along. a lightly roasted dark malt follows and add a nice toffee like complexity.

Taste follows the nose. Cracked wheat and and some good tropical hop flavors are forward followed by a warm roasted malt very light sweetness and mild bitterness.

Mouthfeel is good. A light amount of malty stickiness is followed by a moderate amount of carbonation that give is a light to medium body.

Poured from a can into a pint glass.

Appearance: Slightly hazy dark amber topped off by a thick, slightly off white head that rose about three fingers tall.

Smell: The scent was reminiscent of carmel and toasted nuts, but with a hint of gain sweetness as well.

Taste: Quite impressive. There's a very good balance of the sharpness characteristic of wheat beers and a very acidic citrus flavor backing up the hops. Excellent contrast and complexity.

Mouthfeel: Thicker than what I was expecting from a wheat beer. It coats the mouth and tongue and lingers for a while. Amazing.

Overall: Very, very good. Thick mouthfeel, which I love, and a very citrusy, hoppy backbone offset with a luscious caramel sweetness. This is just a wonderful beer.

Clear brown body with a soapy off-white head that leaves an archipelago of lace. Nose is very bready, including toasted and crust, with an overtone of caramel and must. The flavor is equally focused on the bread and burnt grapes, with a bitter, chalky finish. Body is medium-full, with a surprising, but for once out-of-place, smoothness.
Missed the mark. The malts didn't provide much sweetness nor appreciable flavor, and the hops contributed only the negative aspects of bitterness. I'm still searching for a tasty example of this style.
