The Cabinet of Curiosities is a great beer for a great cause. It poured a hazy copper with thin white head that is leaving a lace. There is spice hop nose and the taste is well balanced between a sweeter malt and floral hops. The mouthfeel is medium in body with good carbonation. Overall.....yeah baby...nice job.

12 oz. bottle, with best by date of 11/30/2014 printed on the back label. The new white IPA from Two Brothers, acquired the six pack from the local beer store for $9.99. Brewed in collaboration with The Field Museum and Chef Cleetus Friedman.

Poured into a Duvel tulip glass.

A - It pours a nice bright golden orange colored body with about a finger of frothy white / off-white head. Very doughy and bubbly, and it leaves some nice scattered lacing behind.

S - The smell is fresh, juicy, and floral. Clean hop presence, and some floral / herbal spicing noticeable. The coriander is apparent when you look for it.

T - Taste follows the nose - fresh, fruity, floral, herbal. The orange zest and coriander are noticeable, and there is a slight fruity / vegetal hop quality present. Moderate 6.50% abv is masked nicely.

M - Feel is crisp, smooth and clean. Some residual hop resins / bitterness left behind on the palate. Very easy-drinking stuff.

Overall, I would say it is a solid White IPA. Certainly not very 'Belgian', but a good Americanized take on the style. Props to Two Brothers for freshness and quality ingredients, it is worth trying, but one six pack was probably enough for me. Recommended if it is available to you.

Served from the bottle into a cervoise at Beelow's.

It's a nice day, so let's hit the patio bar for this little bit of liquid lunch. This stuff pours a hazy tawny brass topped by a finger of white foam. The nose comprises orange peel, light lime zest, very light melon, coriander, and a bit of sweet biscuit in the background. The taste eschews the biscuit in favor of the orange peel, some pine resin, and a healthy dose of flowers. The hops overpower any "white" additions, though the coriander does occasionally seep through for short sojourns. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a fluid feel. Overall, a solid enough "white IPA" of sorts, though the "white" elements languish at the hands of the relatively bold hops.
