Ebel's Weiss beer is a very traditional German Hefeweizen that is naturally unfiltered. It has wonderful malt sweetness and a soft aroma of clove, vanilla, and banana. This deep golden colored weiss will make you think you are in Bavaria.

Pours a dark straw color with a hint of orange, ultra thin broken lace that soon disapates entirely. At first, the aroma is slightly grassy, but soon turns sweet. There is also a presence of fresh wheat, bubblegum, spices and light banana. The taste is herbal but becomes sweeter as it warms. Light phenols, bubblegum, wheat and barley. I also notice a distinct lemony taste. The feel is light to medium bodied and crisp.The body and taste feel a bit thin at times. Although it is not the greatest Hefeweizen I've ever had, it is pleasant to drink overall.

Good weiss beer without the price of a German beer. Has the overall taste and smell of a weiss beer and goes veryv well with a lemon. Would recommend a good beer to enjoy with a good steak.

Yellow beer, full inch of white head that sucks at retention. Aroma was all bready.

Taste was run of the mill average wheat beer. Easy drinking, a little bit of citrus tang to it. A little bit of clovey spice rack going on. Lighter barley/wheat malts going on than average even.

Not really a beer you can be gung ho on, or against.

Poured into a hefeweizen glass:

Pours slightly hazed golden yellow with a fluffy white head that leaves lacing.

The smell is of bread, soft banana, light bubblegum and a touch of clove.

The taste is of banana, sweet vanilla, spicy clove. Sweetness turns to a semi-dry finish.

It is crisp, creamy and smooth.

A wheat ale with enough HW characteristics to fit the style. A nice interpretation of the style.
