Pours amber with a sliver of beige head. Average head retnetion & lacing

S: Faint grassyness, mothing elese

T: Grassyness, pineyness & a little caramel & dryness up front. Intense piney bitterness, a sweet breadyness as this warms, some grassy bitterness as well & just whisper of grapefruit. Finishes sweet, a little cloying with herbal bitterness

MF: Medium body, slight carbonation, decent balance

Drinks pretty easy, not one I would buy again, but not horrible

The first of my single wet hopped heavy handeds. This beer pours a reddish orange color with an average head. The aroma presents a mild pine with background notes of grapefruit and cinnamon. The flavor presents muted pine, grapefruit, cedar, and the slightly soap notes I have come to associate with Cascade hops. The mouthfeel is fresh and slightly fizzy. Overall this is a really nice beer, ad a great tool for learning hop specific notes. Cascade may not be my favorite, but this is well done.

Pours copper with a thick foamy head that settles to a lasting head.

The smell is of grapefruit, black pepper, herbal spice.

The taste is of caramel, spiced pink grapefruit, some wet tobacco. Dry-ish finish.

Smooth and full-bodied (or close enough to it).

An easy drinking IPA that showcases Cascade hops pretty well with a firm caramel-ish malt backbone.

L: Pours brilliant reddish copper rousing a 2” off white foam cap that lasts 3 minutes and produces splotchy lace. S: Dank, herbal hops aromas with some earthiness and citrus. Hop aromas are medium to medium high, hop aromas are low to medium low. T: Medium low levels of dark caramel, medium herbal hop flavors, some hop driven astringency produces a drying finish. Malt flavors are medium and the bitterness is medium high. Has rich layered hop and malt flavors with a hint of fruit and alcohol. F: Very creamy, medium body and very soft, medium carbonation. O: It is interesting to taste wet hopped cascades and I like the series using different hops.

Malt upfront with a large dank and resinous hop profile. Not much else going on with the flavor. Even had a slightly slick mouth feel.

This was my least preferred version of the 3 different Heavy Handed Wet Hopped IPA's. My biggest problem with them was that it did not taste like a wet hopped beer in any way. It tasted like a regular dry hopped off the shelf IPA. For this reason, I just could not rate them any higher. It was decent enough, but just did not stand out or hold true to what it claimed to be.

Would not revisit. Interesting as a one and done, but that is all.

Would Drink Again: No

I don't know if this is the correct place or not. 2015 brew has 3 varieties and only cascade is shown as active. Anyway I had all 3 variety and unexpectedly liked the Chinook brew the best. Pretty solid wet IPA

The wet-hopped Heavy was good....but I prefer the original. It poured a orangish clear with white head that laced. The scent was more bitter than citrusy or piney. The taste was ok....the mouthfeel was medium in body but flat. Overall I was glad to try it....but eh.

12oz bottle. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, tan head of foam. It smelled of citrus, touches of pine and toasted caramel. Sweet caramel and citrus with a nice bitter bite.

Pours a frothy, resiny, off-white head. Piney, resiny aroma. Burnt umber, copper color. Starts with a nice hop bitterness. Notes of pine move into citrus rind. A touch of malt as the bitter citrus rind lingers.

This is pretty good. I prefer the mixed hop Heavy Handeds, but this isn't bad.

Pours a clear, light burnt umber with a nice fine head that lasts a while. Aroma is honey malt and citrus mixed with slightly floral notes. Taste brings forth a light toasted malt then orange marmalade and grapefruit that leaves just the right amount of bitterness on the finish. Mouthfeel was above average nice, a bit slick and oily. med/light carbonation. I like the Heavy Handed wet hop series. Tried all three at the brewery. The Chinook is even better.

L: The appearance is very close to my ideal IPA. Bright, deep orange and crystal clear with light bubbling. A vigorous pour creates a good head that turns into a full lace.

S: The aroma is very enticing. Strong notes of citrus hops with some grapefruit notes. It really invites me to take a sip.

T: The taste is surprisingly well balanced. It actually starts of with some toasty malt notes that linger through the taste. As the beer sits on your palate strong citrus and grapefruit notes flood in. The bitter grapefruit flavor lingers on palate, but the citrus and toasty notes are noticeable in the finish. The aftertaste is not incredibly strong, but the grapefruit lingers as if tempting you to have another sip. Honestly, I'm a bit surprised as I was expecting more of a "hop bomb", but Two Brothers has really found a malt bill to balance the Cascade hops nicely.

F: The feel is very rich and full. Not to syrup levels, but very thick. The finish feel is crisp and dry.

O: This beer was a very pleasant find. Much more well balanced than I expected and a great showcase for the Cascade hops. It encourages me to experiment with them in my homebrews. I suspect this beer should be drank quickly for the wet hop freshness. I picked it up a couple weeks ago and don't think it was sitting in the store very long. Overall a really great find and one that I would love to try again next year. If it is as solid as this year I would probably grab more than one six pack so I could share a wet-hopped beer with friends.

This beer was poured from a 12 oz bottle into a Blind Pig mug and enjoyed at apx. 55F.
