medium brown amber in color with a light amber head. smells a burnt caramel. Taste follows the smell with a very slight bitter after taste. Not offense but would get again.

A darker amber colored beer, with a bit of head. The nose is fairly sweet smelling. The taste is complex. There is some sweetness to it. Somewhat like banana. Interesting, but not my style.

clear dark amber,no head but many tiny bubbles

sweet notes, caramel an d either banana or melon, on a gamble I would say melon.

a bit elegant, reminded me of champagne with a touch of Chambord. Malty

medium, clean finish champagne like carbonation without the gassy feel of bubbles.for me, no bitterness.

With 500 reviews before me (and my extensive review of this brewery's Roundhouse), I don't need to say a lot more. Since I drink this ale several times a year and like these guys, I offer advice instead.

Domaine DuPage is their cash cow, so they probably don't want to make changes.
But, maybe they should offer another brew in the same style with more yeast character and get a little closer to the style.

While Domaine Dupage still may be their food-friendly beer (and it was good with the range tonight of a spicy pasta sauce, brussels sprouts and salad), a yeastier ale tends to go with bread and baked foods. If Two Bros amps up the yeast, will that diversify their food-friendliness?

Domaine DuPage is on the list of "1001" beers and deserves to be there because it turned an obscure style into something American brewers should try to improve on.

On-tap at Milwaukee Cheeseburger Company, Franklin, WI:

Pours deep amber with a white head that leaves lacing.

The smell is of caramel with light toast and slight earthy notes.

The taste is of caramel and sweet biscuit. The firm malt is balanced by light toast and a tea-like earthy balance in the finish.

Very smooth fuller side of medium-bodied. It has a nice refreshing quality to it.

An enjoyable, malt-forward, but balanced, delicious and smooth, unique brew!
