500mL bottle into a pint glass

A - Dark tan colored head that is very creamy and dissipates nice and slowly. Head has some larger bubbles to it and is less than a finger thick even with a very hard pour. Beer itself is pitch black. 4.25/5

S -Extremely malt forward with a rich malty sweetness. So sweet that toffee comes to mind, possibly even molasses. Dark, espresso bitterness as well that accentuates that sweetness. Dark chocolate note pairs with the espresso. 4/5

T - Dark and roasty up front immediately followed by a dark malty graininess and a toffee/molasses sweetness. Espresso does not show up as much as expected. Bitterness shows up on the rear end of the tasting profile as either an espresso or a hops note (somewhat hard to tell here because the beer finishes so clean with very little lingering flavor or feel to it). Bitterness is not very pronounced, it's almost more of an afterthought. Slight booziness at the very end which is expected with the high ABV. 4/5

M - Rich, smooth, and chewy. Very full bodied porter. Does not linger in the mouth upon swallowing but also does not have a drying astringency either. Maintains almost a milk stout consistency at times throughout the tasting. 4.25/5

O - High ABV is balanced out with a rich malty sweetness and a lightly bitter back end to the beer. Transitions between flavors are pronounced and easy to follow. Much sweeter than expected since it is advertised a being more of an espresso based porter which lends the drinker to expect more bitter and less sweet. Quite the opposite holds true here but that is not a bad thing, just simply surprising. 4/5

Solid porter. Not overly sweet. Good bittersweet chocolate flavor on the taste. I can smell some coffee, but I wish there was more in the taste. Good beer. Worth a try for sure.

A- Very dark brown, almost black. Tan head, leaving pretty nice lacing.
S- Honestly there is not much here. Slight roasted malt scent, maybe a little coffee. I'm let down by the nose, I expect more from a bomber.
T- Roasted malts, dark chocolate, hint of coffee. I really expected more coffee taste from a bomber labeled coffee porter.
M- Thick and smooth, heavy body. Good for a porter.
O- A decent porter, but I wish there were more of a coffee presence, especially for a beer labeled coffee porter.

Picked up a bomber in mid-August from TW Arrowhead for $8.99. No visible bottling date.

Beer poured dark brown with a nice tan head that is leaving lacing behind.

Nose has hints of coffee and light roasted malts.

Taste is well balanced between the light roasted malts and hops with a dash of coffee.

Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied, smooth and very satisfying.

Overall a very solid beer and could be bordering on world class if it was more coffee forward.

Poured out maple syrup color with burnt butter head

Malty waft with a scent of flat cola

Good, not great porter that was not as sweet as expected, maybe a good thing, I dont know

Heavy feel with flat cola aftertaste

Not MY best porter, revolution Eugene porter one of my favorites, but okay by me

750ml bottle into a craft pint glass. Deep dark chocolate brown color with a thin finger of tan head that dissolved quickly. Only a little lacing throughout the drink. Smell is not a lot there: chocolate and roasted maltiness. Hint of vanilla. Mild coffee aroma. Taste is much like the smell with roasted malts dominating. Not a lot of vanilla or coffee. Chewy and nice thickness in the mouth. Not bitter. Not hot either. Weird carbonated fizziness on the back of the tongue. Good porter. Needs more flavor though. Little dissapointing.

Gotta like Big Top Liquors. $3.99 bomber.
Rather non-distinct aroma for a beer this size. Some coffee and a sticky slightly sweet bit and some neutral yeast qualities.
Nice dark head caps a very dark body with brown highlights.
A porter with a smooth roast but not strong on coffee. Nicely balanced roast bitterness and malty sweetness leaning towards darker toffee. Finish lays on the tongue softly but nicely with roast and sweet and bitter. Kinda' sharp on the tongue. This is one weird texture - kinda' grainy and prickly simultaneously.
Appropriately sized moderate. On the more side of carbonation but not excessive.
Some funkier tastes appear in time. Some alcohol appears.
I'm a bit underwhelmed. It's okay, but nothing to seek out.

A very good porter, but I did not really pick up on any strong coffee flavors or aromas.

Aroma is somewhat subtle, but chocolate definitely dominates roasty malt and coffee.

Flavor is slightly sweet, nutty, roasty but not harsh, and chocolatey. I don't comment much on mouthfeel, but this one is rich and smooth, full. Just perfect for the style. Dangerously drinkable.

A - Dark brown-black, solid opaque, and a short, tight tan head. Some small bubble lacing.

S - Once warmed, this beer offers a definite malt and coffee hit. Very quiet, but also a note of warm alcohol, as well.

T - Deliver the fine coffee front, a big malty core, and a acidic and slightly bitter but pleasant close.

M - Moderate weight, pretty typical of a porter, with good carbonation and a very light close that keeps you ready for more. ABV is well hidden, as this drinks at well below its 9.2% punch.

O - Delicious, mild coffee porter, drinkable and full flavor both. Not ashy or harsh in the close, it makes for a rock solid porter.
