12oz can poured into a pint glass, swirl by 9/28/15

A- pours a clear amber color with a one finger creamy white head that retains nicely after the pour, eventually leaving a bit of lacing behind

S- sweet doughy malt up front mixes with hop aromas of citrus and pine, sweet caramel on the close

T- big bready malt flavors follow the aroma up front with notes of caramel, underlying piney & citrus hop barely pokes through, sweet and malty finish

M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel and a chewy creamy finish

O- way too malty for an IPA, it drinks more like a malt forward pale ale or an amber ale. It isn't a bad beer at all, but they should market it as a pale ale

Decent beer -- not a standout but well balanced and a pleasure to drink. Not sure why Dale's Pale and Antihero rate higher -- I'd put this one right on par with the,

Picked this one up at Four Firkins in Minneapolis. The best by date states it just passed about a week ago. Poured the can from the fridge right into my pint glass.

L: Pours a warm amber with about an inch of eggshell head that falls pretty quickly but leaves good cling. Slightly hazy with moderate visible carbonation.

S: Fruity notes in the nose: apricot/stone fruit and citrus are most prominent. Some sweet caramel malt and a touch of corn coming across, as well.

T: Caramel malts at the front--sweet and bready--along with some very subdued citrus hop notes. These flavors continue to the middle, where the hops gain bitterness but not much more in the way of flavor. There's tartness that emerges toward the back, and the finish is more of the same with bitter that lingers for a bit. Not too impressed with the muted flavors on this one.

F: On the lighter side of medium-bodied. Smooth and effervescent at the front, brighter in the middle, and fairly clean-finishing with that bitter that hangs on for a short bit. The whole thing feels a bit too watery.

O: This is my first try of a Two Brothers beer. It's very possible that a fresher can would yield better results. But I found the flavors of this one too bland to warrant another try.

A very average IPA, from a brewery that usually does much better. What is the deal with this "just OK" entry into the crowded IPA market from a respected brewery? I don't get it. Their Sidekick Pale Ale is very good, better than this IPA.

Look- hazel yellow cloudy color with a great sticky white head
Smell - floral citrus hop smell
Taste - similar to taste but with faint fruit taste and odd bitter aftertaste
Feel - medium heavy carb with pretty big body
Overall - ok but nothing special
