Two Brothers makes some delicious IPAs. This is not one of them. Do yourself a favor and grab a Wobble instead.

This beer pours a reddish amber. The aroma is mostly mango with a strong caramel tone. The flavor is surprisingly pine and resin forward, with a touch or tropical fruit. The mouthfeel is fairly thick, but not syrupy. The bitterness is pronounced here, very pleasant. Overall this is a nice IPA - not showstopping - but good.

12 oz. can into a pint glass

A - Reddish copper in color and clear. Khaki head that foams up tall and dissipates slowly. Light carbonation. 4/5

S - Light hint of dark stone fruit. Licorice. Herbal hops. Peat moss. Very earthy. All aromas are somewhat muted, all are hints with nothing really standing out. 3.25/5

T - Dark stone fruit right up front. Transitioning to an earthiness and leather followed by peat moss and herbal hop bitterness. Slight hint of licorice mixed in with herbal hops. Bitterness lingers but not long. Interesting layering going on here. Flavors are not like any other pale ale that I have had. 4/5

M - Light but somewhat creamy. Coats the mouth nicely then disappears. Very little in the way of carbonation. 4/5

O - Very interesting pale ale. Nice taste layering. Aroma was very difficult to discern what I was smelling. Aromas were all somewhat muted. Other than the aroma, very nicely executed. 4/5

L: Pours brilliant copper tinted amber, 2” foam cap, dissipates to thin film, good lace. S: initial nose is melon then malt and citrus. T: malt, hop citrusy melon, hop suggests citrus or grapefruit rind F: Very creamy, medium body, just below medium on the carbonation O: An IPA with a very big melon presence.

A: [4.50] Dark golden colored beer. Forms a head that is just under 1 finger. The head is tight and white. The head recedes uniformly. The can lists the best by date (11/01/15). It lists the ABV (6.3%) and for a bonus it lists the IBU (60).

S: [2.75] Honestly the first scent I got was earthy to the point of smelling like a vegetable. Maybe a little cracker aroma under that smell. Not a typical IPA profile for sure.

T: [4.25] Does not follow the nose. Very sweet and malty. Great malt backbone all the way until the finish where it yeilds to a mild hop bite.

M: [4.00] Medium body and a slightly dry finish.

O: [4.00] The nose threw me off at first. It has a weird aroma for an IPA. But getting into the taste the 60 IBUs sounds right. There is not a crush of bitter anywhere. The malt profile is really nice leading to a sweet and malty beer. There are some hops to close the deal at the end. I think this beer is really good and I would drink more. They did not go the typical hops are tops route and I enjoyed that.
