12oz bottle poured into a pint glass.
A - Pours a deep yellow-gold with one finger of sticky white foam.
S - Chewy cereal grain aroma, floral and grassy hops.
T - Cereal, grain-husk flavor, a bit sweet, with mild-moderate hop bitterness and subtle noble hop flavor. Tasty and quenching, though not up to the standard of Dortmunder Gold.
M - Light-medium body, smooth carbonation.
D - Very easy to drink; satisfying.

The aroma is pretty standard for the style: a nice hit of floral, earthy noble hops are countered with malt notes of table sugar and bread. There are also some notes of diacetyl, cereal grain, and *maybe* a hint of lime. It's a pretty standard nose for a golden lager with nothing particularly bad or good about it. Flavors on the palate strike a similar note. It starts off with touches of noble hops, giving way to slightly sweet middle and finish of lime. Corn and diacetyl are also there near the middle, but less assertive than what the aroma suggested. This displays a razor-sharp balance that so many American lagers lack, and there's even a modicum of depth. It does err towards the sweet side on the mouthfeel, though it's nothing overdone. Carbonation is medium-low for the style, helping to create a semi-creamy feel and a dry, clean finish. There's nothing crazy to be found here, but who cares? Those who crave a textbook lager loaded with finesse, balance, and refinement will really enjoy this. I could easily down a six-pack in the right mood.
3.64/5: Just a simple lager with a mediocre nose...or is it?

Pours a golden color with a big white head, and great lacing. The smell and taste is of crispy and of carmel malts. Mouthfeel is light and refreshing. Overall, a great summer beer.

I like it out of the can. No tulip stuff. No solo cup. The can. It's like budweiser got a liberal arts degree. I'm not sure what it wanted to be, but that's how the story ended.

Picked up on a midwest road trip last week. This looks the part but the nose is truly outstanding; structured, complex and balanced, with toasted malt and biscuits being the standout players.
Taste is light and creamy in texture. The biscuit notes and slightly spicy hops are joined by yeast and some late sugars. Solid for the style and add a half star if drank in summer heat.

Beautiful Amber color and nice lacing on my glass. Had on tap in 16 oz pint glass. Good lager taste though not as good as Great Lakes. Refreshing on a 90 degree day. Cheers
