I like it out of the can. No tulip stuff. No solo cup. The can. It's like budweiser got a liberal arts degree. I'm not sure what it wanted to be, but that's how the story ended.

Pours an effervescent straw color with a finger of ivory colored head. Good lacing& head retention

S: Grassyness, a little wet cereal, some lemongrass & perfumy hops

T: Breadyness, grassiness & pears up front. Some astringency & cereal sweetness as this warms, pears as well, a little lemongrass too. Finishes fruity, grassy, a little dry with some honey crisp apple

MF: Medium body, firm carbonation, nice balance

Drinks super easy, very true to the style. I will buy it again. This a great beer to have year round, but, really goes down well in the heat/humidity

A - Golden straw yellow its very light in color, not much of a head to speak of.
S - Grainy with some caramel malt.
T - Lemongrass a citrus. The hops are just noticeable. Caramel. Mild
M - A light body and a crisp dry finish.
O - Not often that I drink the style, but its very drinkable.

Served in a pilsner glass, the beer pours a light golden color with a very small white head. It smells like light citrus and floral hops, and also grainy/breadiness. The taste is mainly a malty breadiness with a light hoppy middle and aftertaste. The mouthfeel is light, but the beer is very smooth, crisp and refreshing. The drinkability is very good, I could probably down quite a few of these. I think this is a pretty decent beer. A great summer beer, but good for any other time of year as well.

This beer pours a great looking clear golden color with slight carbonation and a small head. This lager looks great, nice and clear, makes me think of a good summer beer.

You really have to get your nose down next to the beer to get much of a smell, but it does have a dry, malty and light biscuity aroma once you're down there.

Taste is dominated by malts, biscuity and dry. Finishes with a little bit of hops. Everything works well together and is clearly focused on the dry maltiness, which is very pleasing. Not exceptional, but definitely a pleasing beer to enjoy on a hot summer day.

Mouthfeel is light and crisp, just what I would have expected from this style beer. I think the mouthfeel is spot-on for the style. There is just enough body to it without being too thick or heavy.

Kind of dry to drink a lot of them, but definitely goes down easily and is enjoyable.

Now THIS is what I've been missing!

The beer pours a delicious straw-gold with a tight head that quickly fades.

But after that, we are in business! Nice clean malt presence with just the right amount of noble hops, a touch of DMS (just enough to give it a full lager body) and a light carbonation that helps the goodness go down.

Wonderful! A simple, yet delicious beer. Very well done!

Picked up on a midwest road trip last week. This looks the part but the nose is truly outstanding; structured, complex and balanced, with toasted malt and biscuits being the standout players.

Taste is light and creamy in texture. The biscuit notes and slightly spicy hops are joined by yeast and some late sugars. Solid for the style and add a half star if drank in summer heat.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a deep gold color, with a thin off-white head that fades very quickly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.

S: The aroma is of light malts, lager yeast and a touch of hops.

T: The taste starts bready with flavors of lager yeast and grain followed by some malt sweetness. The hops presence is mild but brings a little bit of balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet.

M: Crisp and a little smooth, light-to-medium body, medium-to-high carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.

D: A little tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, mild kick, good representation of style, this is a decent lighter beer to drink for a while but there are others that I would choose first.

This might be the first dortmunder I've had ever; at least as long as I've been paying attention. The name makes it sound stronger than what it is so I've avoided it as a summer drink. The bartender described it as sweeter than a pilsner but the same lightness otherwise. That's pretty much what I would call it as well. Very drinkable, a little bit of malty sweetness but still as refreshing as a good pilsner. Great combination of maltiness and drinkability. Good color and good carbonation as well.
