Thanks goes to blackearth for sharing this one.

Poured from a bottle into my glass.

A: scotch hued golden brown, tiny bit of light beige head, no lace

S: first thing that come to me is pickles, the french oak slowly rises out of the pickles giving of an alomost briny scent, sweet caramel malt with a hint of wet wood

T: rather malt forward, bread crusts with hints of spiced rye, mild sweet caramel in the dry finish

M: thin lightly carbonated body,

D: Overall a strange yet sessionable brew. All the flavors work to make this drinkable.

Appearance: Fairly small head leaves decent lacing. Color is amber. Looks alright.

Smell: Malt, hops, oak, vanilla.

Taste: Quite complex for a beer this easy to drink, there are flavors of oak, vanilla, fruit, malt, and hops. The beer finishes dry. Nothing is stellar here at all, but it is flavorful.

Mouthfeel: As it's a self-proclaimed "session beer", the mouthfeel is naturally on the thin side. Carbonation is moderate.

Overall: While it's not something I'll necessarily seek out, I respect it for what it is: a truly sessionable beer that manages to offer considerable flavor and some degree of complexity. Not everything works perfectly, but it's better than about 90% of beers in its ABV range and that are as thin, and that's saying something.
