Ale brewed with Saccharomyces cerevisae and Brettanomyces. Transferred to oak foudre after initial fermentation. Foudre has previously gone through a spontaneous fermentation.

Poured from a corked+caged 375ml into a wine glass.
A- Huge pop off of the cork...what is living in here? Pours a golden amber with a small amount of receding white head that doesn't hang around all that long. Carbonation starts off streaming, but dies off relatively quickly as well.
S- Tart Granny Smith apples, acidic vinegar, and very trace amounts of sweetness/breadiness/booze.
T- Follows the nose with ripe sour Granny apples on the front paired with the under-ripened mulberries I used to pick when I was little. Flows into an earthy tone with a buttery sweetness that dances around the mouth. Acidic sourness hangs around jussst a touch too long.
M- Medium bodied with a smooth and creamy texture. As the carb dies away it loses some of its appeal.
O- Really glad I picked this one up. I've tried hard to support 2Bros since I found them out over a year ago, but Bare Tree was the only other brew I could really get behind. He now has a fine tasting sour-brother.

2011 vintage; drank 2/26/15 @ Harvest Hop Haus.
Poured from the bottle into a glass.
Hazy orange appearance.
Minimal off-white head; minimal lace.
Mildly tart strawberry nose; intoxicating!
Medium mouthfeel.
Mildly tart strawberry flavor up front; nice sweet strawberry finish, crisp & dry. A delicious, balanced sour. I never had this fresh, but it certainly aged wonderfully.

12.7 fl oz bottle poured into a Founders snifter.
Appearance: pours a hazy copper color with a thin white head.
Smell: very pungent acidity, bready malt undertones
Taste: acidity is much more restrained than expected. Very balanced, apple cider with a clean light malt profile with a hint of caramel malt with a very clean acidity on the finish. Mellow, clean flavor. If you noticed, I used the word clean 3 times. Very clean.
Mouthfeel: crisp, and...clean. Low carbonation gives it a very smooth feel.
Overall: extremely drinkable, refreshing.

Received 3x years ago (almost to the day) from Benpopper in a fantastic trade... Thanks Ben. Shared tonight with COOPMatt and Buckeyeboy. Pours a slightly hazed orange with a short-lived white head... still provides decent lacing.
Nose is big juicy and sour... a tiny bit acetic, but not bad given the age and the time spent in foudre... a bit of red wine and the brett really opened up on a later pour.
Flavor is sour, but not face-melting... surprisingly balanced... something that I associate with tannic pie cherries.. a touch acetic on the back-end and perhaps something that I associate with acetone, but I think Matt poisoned my well with that.
Nice body and carbonation... has held up surprisingly well... Thanks again Ben, we should hook up again some time.
3.75's across the board.
