This brew is a golden, hazy colored brew...light, straw, white-capped, and pretty. A bit of smoke. The aroma is light and grainy...grass and grain. Light in body. There is a bit of fruity and a little tartness. Worthwhile, but not great.

Pours a mostly transparent, straw color with a modest head of soapy, white suds. Crisp aroma smells of biscuity malt, coriander, bubblegum, and a hint of orange.

The taste is surprisingly juicy for a witbier, with perhaps not enough carbonation and/or yeast to cut through the citrus and spice. Aside from that, the taste follows the nose closely. The mouthfeel comes off pretty flat in spite of the medium body.

I must admit I expected better from Two Brothers. There’s plenty of flavor to be had, but it tends to run amok abit in the absence of a proper mouthfeel.

12oz bottle. 7/6/16 BB date. Appearance: Pale yellow and slightly cloudy, with minimal white foam head that dissipated quickly. Aroma: Steing coriander and light Belgian yeast fruitiness, specifically pear and banana. Taste: Light crackery and wheat maltiness, with light apple and pear fruitiness. The pear seems to intensify on the swallow. Finishes with some light orange zest and moderate coriander spice bite. Low bitterness Mouthfeel: Medium body with a low carbonation. Creaminess from the wheat and its is rather low. Finish: Coriander and lemon zestimate swallow lingers for a bit, with some retronasal pear esters. Overall: A run of the mill Wit. Appearance is relatively clear for the style, aroma has some nice but muted fruity esters, and the taste is a bit on the sweet side. Carbonation was also a little low

A decent American effort. But, where is the Belgian yeast?
Looks slightly different and darker than the style's norm, but that is OK.
Smell is wheaty and I pickup the coriander and citrus. Intriguing.
Taste is similar, mildly juicy and suitable to summer heat and light food. But some yeasty complexity would be nice.
Feel is very smooth, call it creamy and soft. Minimal bubbles. Plays well with food.
Overall: better this second time than the first, I will have this a third time. As one of Two Brothers earlier brews and Monarch being food-friendly like their cash cow (Domaine Dupage), I will keep both on hand.
