Cloudy and hazy pale golden color, spicy, earthy citrus aromas, nice white creamy head that sticks to the sides of my glass. Fresh wheat and mild spice flavors, crisp carbonated mouthfeel, finishes clean and dry with a touch of orange, good for the style, a very refreshing and drinkable brew.

This beer was just so-so. Nothing to write home about on this one. It poured a more than huge head...it kept overflowing and overflowing and overflowing. It had a white head with fine-small sized bubbles. The body was cloudy with a lot of lively carbonation and a pale yellow hue. The nose was moderately malty, hoppy and some notes of lemon. The flavor was malty, hoppy and tart with a tingly, thin and watery texture and light bodied. The lacing of this beer was very, very sparse.

Monarch White, or Wit, as we are calling it here. Well, I got through the six pack, and I’m convinced that I don’t like this beer. It is a glowing yellow, very hazy, with not a lot of head. What head there was did not impress: bubbly and pure white. The aroma is dominated, not by banana yeasts, but the malts. The taste is simply Zima, in my view, kind of like a flat gin and tonic, suffused with bubbles, cooled and sold as a beer. No aftertaste, in fact, not a whole lot of taste to speak of anyway.

Labeled Monarch White - An Anniversary Special Edition. This is a pale, cloudy yellow with a decent white head that diminishes fairly quickly leaving spotty lacing on the glass. The nose is sulphurish and banana-like with hints of the wheat heritage. The flavor is very pale and bland, like an understeeped tea or instant lemonade made with too little powder. Not bad, but likelwise not impressive. Crisp finish and dry final flavor.

The appearance of the beer as it poured into the glass was very nice, slightly higher carbonation than most Wit-styled beers. Medium-bodied head. The smell was that of a typical american big boy lager, more Heilemann's than Hoegarden. The taste confirmed this. There was no Citrus or Banana or Clove flavor, simply middle of the road use of hops. I had to look twice at the label to make sure that I was pouring the right beer. This beer bore no resemblance to any Wit style beer I have ever had and I was greatly disappointed. It was very close to Hamms or Pabst in flavor and smell.

This was the first problem I have had with any of the Two Brother's products so I am hoping I simply got "a bad batch." The other reviews seem to confirm this.

Pours a very pale yellowish color with very little head. Light tasting with a very obvious citrus taste with a hint of spice. Certainly not a brew to choose if you were looking for something heavy and complex, but with summer approaching this is a great beer to sit drink outside at a BBQ, or any other activity which involves beer (which if I had my way would be a lot more!). All in all, I liked this one and definitely will buy it again.

Okay, this beer poured a dark straw color with a small white head with little lace. It had an aroma of coriander, citrus and hops. The flavor was of hops, coriander and citrus. The finish was not a light or refreshing as other wit/white beers I have tried, but the spice, while strong, was not as overpowering as some others. A good beer worth trying, but then again nothing to make it stand out over some of the others that make their mark due to the aforementioned.
