A: Light golden in color, fairly clear, but has some haze. Thin, foamy white head leaves behind very minimal lacing and film.

S: Pale and sweet malts dominate the smell with light lemony, grassy hops.

T: Follows the nose for the most part. Pales, biscuity malts with the hops taking a larger role in taste than in nose. Crisp, clean taste.

M: For a smaller beer, the mouthfeel isn't too bad. Again, crisp and clean on the mouthfeel.

O: Chaser Pale certainly isn't my favorite offering from Blackstone, but it's not bad. I could see myself drinking a few these on a hot summer day...would make a very good lawn mower beer.

Brilliant gold with a fast-receding white head. Aroma is faint toasty malts and whiffs of spicy, grassy hop - clean.

Starts with a toasted grain maltiness before the hops come to play, tossing some bitterness onto the palate and faint grassy, noble-hop-spicy flavors around the rest of the mouth. Slightly thin, but I don't want a massive Kolsch dammit! Finishes with a clean, lightly toasted malt and grassy hop balanced aftertaste. No off flavors to speak of.

Very drinkable, this one! Thanks to BA Potsie for the bopple!

A medium white head settles into a thin lacing above a clearish straw golden colored beer.

A light bread like malt blends well with a light hops and yeast sourness.

The taste is on the lighter side with with bready malts and light hops that near border on sour, with a slight hint of something earthy.

There is a slight bitterness to the taste that is transferred through the light dry aftertaste and kind of stays with you on this lightish bodied beer.

A kolsch style beer that I kinda like, I think it's the bitterness and dryness coming through that sells this beer for me, I like me them hops.

I have had this beer twice recently. Once on tap and once poured out of a bottle. It pours a nice darker, yellow/amber color with not a ton of head but more than I was expecting. Smells yeasty, bread like, and a little sweet note there as well. I like this beer because the taste is very balanced. You get the yeast and you get the spicy hop note to finish it off. This really fits my theme lately of beers that I can drink a few of at any occasion and time and be pleased with. I like this beer with all food types as it isn't very overpowering flavor wise.

Fizzy, clear, pale yellow body.

Smell is grainy with some lemon and citrus zest.

Taste is very grainy and somewhat bland, almost alka seltzer like. There's a minue splash of lemon.

Mouthfeel is clean with prickly carbonation..

It's a decent kolsch and went down easy in the Tennessee heat.
