On tap at the restaurant. It is dark brown, almost black with some red tints, a creamy white head and nice lacing. Good retention as well. The smell is of roated malts, hints of coffee and cocoa. The taste is roasty up front with a semi-sweet cocoa in the middle, then finishes dry with hints of coffee and earthy tones. Nice and creamy body makes it go down easy. A simple, sessionable, but watery beer. Easy to drink. Not bad.

A very good, probably sessionable, dry Irish stout. Poured a very nice deep brown with some decent head and some nice lacing. Nice roasty aroma. Nice taste, a good roasty stout. Has a nice dry finish and goes down well. An nice example of a well made, no-frills dry stout.

I had this on-cask at Blackstone.

It pours a great, pure black with nice 1.5 inch creamy tan head.

The aroma is very docile and comes of more sweet and chocolatey than dry and roasty. Light.

This has a nice roasted flavor up front followed by a sweet middle; and just when I think this beer is going to finish fairly sweet, it comes through with a nice dry coffee finish. This beer has a big lingering roasted malt and earthy hop bitterness.

This is what a cask stout (or any stout for that matter) should feel like. Smooth and creamy without nitrogen ... Brilliant!!!

This is a nice, light stout that hits all of the typical bases of an Irish Dry Stout. Good.

Very mild, and not as dry as your typical Irish stout. Not very assertive, and makes Guinness look robust. Not bad, but my preference is for a little more personality in the stout.
