The Nut Brown Ale is of course a brown ale with a huge rocky head that laces the glass. The aroma is slight chocolate and sweet malt aroma, but both are somewhat difficult to detect. The flavor is slight chocolate andwith an ever so slight nut flavor. The bitterness is good, and the beer fairly drinkable.

This isn't one of the rich browns with a lot of malty complexity like the late, great Boyne River Brown. Istead, it's pretty much a basic brown flavor. Low sweetness, a bit of wood. Little to no hopping, a tiny bit metallic, but it is an easily drinkable beer.

Part of a sampler: Pours a dark brown color with a medium thin beige head. Thin lacing. Very nutty aroma. This beer is super easy to drink and has a nice nutty and hoppy flavor that keeps your interest. The finish is good and consists of brown sugar and more nuts. Good session beer.

Extremely mild, even for an English style, however it had an interesting coffee finish, which I don't think I've ever found in a nut brown before. Particularly curious, since the malts were not all that roasted. Hmm.
