Went in last night for a quick beer before meeting some customers for dinner.

The atmosphere seemed alive, but relaxed. It had a strange vibe that was somewhere between local bar/brewpub and chain. The chain feel is probably due to the layout and the decor. The bottles all along the wall gave me a the wrong impression since they don't serve any of them or any beers but their own. Almost like all the retard shit all over the walls of a TGIF's but not the that obnoxious degree.

It was very nice to see and have a beer from a hand pump. Always good to see cask beer. The Marris Otter was on cask and was a very good beer.

In my opinion TN laws are holding this place back. I think if they could brew something over 6% they could have more choices on draft and some more exciting beers. The beers I had were great. The Marris Otter on cask and the Porter were spot on. But if I was a local they wouldn't keep me coming bake on anything more than a casual basis.

Turns out they could make beer over 6% but they would have to get a Distillers license which I would imagine would be difficult, expensive, and possibly have to change the whole model. Not sure if you can have a Distillery and Restaurant and/or Brewery in the same building.

Had a cup of chili to tide me over and it was pretty good.

All and all a good place that is hamstrung by the law.

Plain looking place as far as interior except for the brewing equipment, with a limited selection, but what they have is excellent.
Some of the best beer in Nashville for sure and what food they do have is also very good. I have had many Blackstone brews: Oatmeal stout, St. Charles Porter, Picnic, Nut Brown, and Chaser Pale.
Out of those, I would say that the Nut Brown is the best, with the St. Charles at the bottom (the only one I don't really care for). The service was amazing.
It's more like a restaurant than a brewpub. But definitely give the beers a try. They know what they're doing.

This was across the street fry my hotel. It's okay with approximately six beers made on premises. Bar food offered.
