I'm going to slam this review higher because I love this beer. Great discovery. Try 24.

A: Poured from the bottle into a snifter. Body is DARK coppery amber with a 1 finger khaki-colored head that lasts and leaves arcs and rings of lace.

S: Brown sugar, candy stove top, caramel apple and malt and piney, grassy hops.

T: Follows the nose, with a malty core of brown sugar, candy maker, caramel malt, and smoke, which is topped by grassy, piney hops with mint, wood, cedar, earth, combining into a long, drying bitter finish. Sweet to bitter see-saw.

M: Medium in weight, creamy in feel, and the smokey, long finish leaves you in a great place.

O: Different. AGREE WITH review who said it's heading slightly toward Stone Arrogant Bastard (an American Strong Ale) and is that kind of powerful, deep, woody, IPA / strong ale. Try 24.

The Stainless Steel IPA has all upfront bitterness and an abrupt clean finish but light on citrus and floral notes.

A: The beer is slightly hazy yellowish amber in color and has a moderate amount of carbonation. It poured with a finger and a half high off white head that died down but consistently left a short head covering the surface and lots of lacy rings of bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of caramel malts are present in the nose along with notes of citrus and floral hops.
T: The taste follows the smell, having flavors of caramel malts along with notes of citrusy hops and bits of floral and piney hops. There is a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The malt bill in this IPA makes it taste more like an IPA from the late 1990s/early 2000s.

12 oz bottle. Pours hazy dark golden orange with a medium creamy off white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is funky soapy floral fruit and caramel malt with a little green apple.

The flavor is sweet caramel malt and green apple with floral soapy hops and a medicinal finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, a bit of a mess.

Clear, amber body; thick, sticky, rocky head. Zesty, spicy aroma; pine. Smooth, light malt grain base with a peppery, spicy hop quality. Medium-heavy body; spicy tickle on the palate.

A nice, well-rounded IPA. Toasty malt character with a well-balanced hop zing.

Pours medium-amber color with thick slow fading head. Light aroma of fruit citrus, pineapple and floral. Berry like impressions with spice And hops on a light malty foundation. Nice American IPA at 7% ABV and 83 IBU’s.

This beer pours a hazy orange amber color with a two finger, fluffy off white head. Retention is well above average and there are many sticky rings of lacing left on the glass.

Smell is very muted. Pine, citrus and sweet and bready malts.

Taste follows the smell, but is slightly more pronounced. The finish is piney and bitter. Hop forward, but well balanced.

Feel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. The finish is sticky and resinous.

Overall this beer is alright. It is a bit too malty and very indistinguishable from any other middle of the road west coast IPA. The commercial description is pretty funny though. I hope it's about 10 years old bc Ellicottville has to be pretty deluded to think this is a new age IPA and going to "carry their brewery into the future."

A balanced IPA. Nothing out of the oridinary but it won't disappoint. For a flagship IPA, I was expecting something to write about.
