Poured from 12oz can to a tulip glass. Looks deep, dark brown, to straight black. Khaki head falls quickly to a thin cap. Smell is chocolate covered cherries. Taste is cherry and chocolate with some roasted malt in the finish. Pretty sweet throughout with a touch of cocoa bitterness in the middle. Feel is pretty full bodied with some lighter carbonation. Overall, I rather like this beer. It hides the alcohol pretty well and drinks rather smoothly. Great dessert beer I feel.

Poured a very attractive ruby brown with a profuse initial head. No retention or lacing to speak of.
Scent was reminiscent of boozy cherry cordial. Milk chocolate and cocoa up front, cherries following shortly thereafter, and a hint of dark chocolate on the back end.
Taste followed the nose. Malty desserty awesomeness.
Mouthfeel was the only area for improvement. Smooth, slightly syrupy, but on the lower end of medium bodied.
Overall, quite nice. Would buy again.

Twelve ounce bottles pours dark black with a decent initial head then little lacing thereafter.
Given the beer's name, the expected nose is chocolate and cherry. Smells inviting to me. Avoid if chocolate forward is not your thing.
The body's flavor follows nose and adds malty char/coffee notes. A welcome addition to the confectionery disposition of the aroma.
Mouthfeel was pleasant and the sweetness did not steer towards cloying as the initial sweetness might have suggested.
Overall a good dessert stout for fans of chocolate and cherry. Others steer clear.

12 oz bottle from Dry Tavern Beer.
Pours with little head. Clear very dark brown.
Very smooth mouthfeel.
Chocolate aroma, maybe cherry?
Taste of, again, chocolate and super smooth with a bright bite. Nutty and maybe sour cherry .... Maybe the cherry comes through because it's on the label? Lol
After warming up and having some pasta, this beer improved. Bittersweet chocolate really comes through!

Bottled on 10/4/21. 12oz bottle poured into a tulip.
Pours almost black; fluffy khaki head that falls leaving great retention and nice lacing.
The aromas are on the mild and subtle side. They're malt forward. Hints of cocoa. There's honestly no cherry going on in the aroma department. I will say that things open up a bit as it warms.
The flavors are much bolder than the nose. More cocoa. Subtle blend of milk chocolate and dark chocolate. The cherries are subtle in the flavors as well, but they're definitely noticeable. Hints of vanilla in the mix. There's some nice hazelnut flavors as well which I wasn't expecting but was a pleasant surprise. Some roasted characteristics. It's not as tart as you might expect. Moderate to low bitterness. Subtle sweetness. Solid malt backbone. Alcohol goes unnoticed.
Mouthfeel is full-bodied with moderate carbonation. It's fluffy, slightly creamy and velvety, smooth and slightly sharp.
This is a solid brew. It's solid besides the somewhat lackluster aromas which ultimately open up with time. There's a nice balance with this one. The cherries don't dominate but definitely do their thing. Not bad.

Pours black with a 1/4 inch tan head, which dissipates. Light lacing to the end.
Strong aroma of chocolate, coffee, roast malts.
Taste is dark chocolate, cherry, coffee, roast malt. Alcohol well concealed.
Full bodied, light carbonation. Semi-sweet finish.
This is an outstanding Imperial Stout. Lack of a lasting head is a bit of a disappointment.
