Over the years they shifted from primarily focused on the beer to primarily focused on the experience. The food is generally really good, the beers are okay. The beers shifted towards appealing to a broader audience, not saying that is necessarily a bad thing, it makes a lot of sense for business in a snow town. I wouldn't turn down a beer from here, it just doesn't have a wow factor for me anymore.

A busy place (on the day I visited), but more spacious than it first appears. They have a variety of taps and competent servers. The food is a little over priced but high quality. Caters to a mixed crowd - not just beer enthusiasts. Some bottled and canned take out (and growlers). Nice place - highly recommended.

Cool place... good food and crap beer.
We stopped by for lunch on our way south from a Niagara falls trip and had a decent lunch at the Ellicottville Brewery. It's a cool place... nice vibe... great bar/scene. The food was decent... service friendly/prompt... and the only problem... especially for a brewery.. was the beer. Long story shot... it's mostly terrible. Overly sweet, and out of a sampler of 6 at least 3 of them were borderline undrinkable. So... cool place for lunch. Drink elsewhere.

A nice spot in E'Ville and pretty much the only place with interesting craft available (with the exception of a few local bars with very basic craft offerings from the local breweries). The garden is a nice area to have a beer on a summer night. The quality of the beer varies, but is generally average to above average. Worth a stop if in town.

The best beers they make I never see in the store. Looking past the fruit added beers they're known for, Ellicottville makes some excellent brews. The town, the brewery, the quality of the beers all add to the experience. The cuisine is that of an accomplished chef, good portioned; simply, but creatively flavored, and delicious. This is a rather expensive destination, but worth the money.

Location, location, location. This place does really well, being located where Holiday Valley Ski Resort is. And, the crowds prove it. I don't know what this place is like during the shoulder seasons, but during ski season, it is packed. Still, the service was pretty good and the food was of good quality, for a place like this. The beer selection is large, but of overall average quality. However, I find several that I liked just fine. If you're in the area, it's a must stop for craft beer lovers or those desiring a good burger and fries.
