On tap at the 2015 Decatur Beer Fest. Listed as 5% ABV.
Reddish brown body with great clarity.
Rich and nutty malt flavor, this is an excellent example of the style. Slightly more bitter than sweet.
More dark roasted flavor, and dark malts altogether, than usual for style.

Appearance: Served up a dark brown body with a faint ecru-colored head.
Smell: A modest hint of caramel atop the toasty malts with a sprinkling of raisins for an additional fruitiness.
Taste: A deep, dark sense of toast (though not quite heading towards being roasty), with a cooked caramel sweetness. Dark fruit esters. Low, light hops and bitterness. Toasty maltiness on the drying finish.
Mouthfeel: Falls a bit shy of medium-bodied and a medium level of carbonation.
Overall: Ole' Mess, is o-kay!
