Bananas Foster Imperial Porter is brewed with Maris Otter malt as the base and has just enough chocolate wheat and carafa malt to give it a deep, dark color without giving a heavy roast or coffee character. Caramunich and Special W malts add a substantial amount of caramelized flavor, which is further fortified with brown sugar and cinnamon. The beer is fermented on a yeast variety that provides the flavor of bananas. We tied up the whole batch by enhancing the body with lactose and resting it on vanilla.
