Notes:
Emerging from springtime’s fertile ground, Cultivator celebrates the start of hop-growing season as sprawling fields of hop rhizomes climb and tether to hop bines. This spring bock delivers hints of toasted grains, fresh baked bread and delicate floral hops. #1 of 4 in our Hop Cycle seasonal series.

Clear golden orange color with a lasting white head. Bready malts and European hops mix nicely in the aroma. Somewhat chewy mouthfeel. Malt sweetness well balanced with hop bitterness. A fine beer.

Golden orange body beautifully filtered with a big white head chunky textured billowing above the rim of my pint glass. Aroma has bread yeast, biscuit malt, herbal earthy grass hop notes this is a nice smelling helles bock so far. Cereal grains, honey biscuit malts, grassy herbal hop finish this is a perfect beer borders on the sweetness of other high gravity lagers like malt liquors maybe a touch of green apple, but no residual sticky sweetness at all this is great beer tried and true. This reminds me of a version I had years ago the Penn Maibock on a kick the keg night at Fuel and Fuddle the drafts of Penn Maibock were marked down to 2 dollars and the whole bar was drinking this classic style with big smiles and laughter abound. Everybody had fun even if we were over indulging that night!!! Sugary glazed biscuit malts bring the flavor together with a nutty apple character in the malt department, again I love this beer, carbonation is full on and built into such said beer. Overall this beer brings back memories of a better time in the beer scene when Penn Maibock, Stoudt's Maibock, and Victory St. Boisterous tuned into the beer drinking scene also Sierra Nevada recently d/c'd their famous helles bock that was once a seasonal.

I had this on tap at the brewery tasting room in Hershey, served chilled in a stange
The color is deep golden with greate clarity and thick white cap with very fine bead. The smell combines a strong malt aroma with mild noble hop aroma and subtle mineral yeast with a spice accent from the hops with toasted grain odor. The feel is very good with strong body of both malt presence with spicy hop texture and medium carbonation with light alcohol in the finish.
The taste is as good as the other qualities mentioned above yet there is a smooth grain flavor with light sweet maltiness and gentle German yeast flavor in the middle with floral hop and mild alcohol in the finish which is relatively dry. Overall I consider this a pretty high quality helles bock for the style, very drinkable yet enough strength to hold true with the original ...very drinkable example with nice balance.

Pours a light fizzy 1/2 finger head covering that fades at a med pace with streaming bubbles, little lacing, very clear honey orange blond.
NOse has a little biscuity malt, little grainy crackery without being too much straw or wheat like, little almost coppery malt note, and grassy wheat, as well as a mild fruity lager note, and little grassy floral hop note, soft lager note adn faint sulfur.
Taste starts more cereal grains, toasty, bready and grainy but not like cracked dry straw grains, grassy wheat like without much wheat, into a little lager crispness and soft feel, little fruity lager note and very light sulfury touch, into mild bitterness with some grassy floral hops . A bit of a fruity note all around. Finish is a bit crisp and soft, mild bitter grassy hops, little more fruity lager and cereal grains.
Mouth is med to lighter bod, crisp, soft, decent carb.
Overall OK, a bit of a sulfury note, decent hops, malts are pretty nice but not great, lager notes are nice, drinkable but not great.

Perfectly clear, active, sickly amber brew, topped by a very humble white head. Decent retention and lacing.
Strong and sweet malty aroma: honey, biscuit, bread, syrup, flowers.
Flavor is a perfect match for the aroma. Crisp, clean, sweet, malt-driven. Slightly green, earthy, vegetal, flowery hop profile.
Very balanced brew leaning toward bready maltiness; some balancing bitterness. Extremely drinkable; light, silky feel, active with no sting. Fairly short, wet finish.
This is a delicious Maibock. This may not be the boldest style out there, but this is an excellent beer.

Served on-tap at the brewery.
A - Pours clear golden yellow with a decent one finger tall white head, quickly dissipating down to a light film, leaving sticky webs of lace on the sides of the glass.
S - Smells of light noble hop bitterness, doughy yeast, lightly toasted caramel malt and a bit of dulled lemon. Rather plain initially but it comes around a bit as it warms up.
T - Starts off with a mix of bready malt, yeast and mild caramel malt sweetness slowly giving way to the noble hop bitterness. Finish is pretty doughy with some light bitterness, lingering long after the finish.
M - Light body with moderate carbonation. Smooth, doughy feel with some mild bitterness at the end of each sip. Booze is hidden quite well.
O - A pretty solid maibock all things considered. A bit more hoppy than a traditional example but that was what they were going for here. I will definitely enjoy a few more of these once it warms up some more.
