Unique yet tasty brew. Difficult to classify and need to drink 2 to get your head around it, IMO. Sour, sweet, hoppy. A melding of flavor that defines collaboration. Going to be a great warm weather brew.

16 oz. can poured into a pint glass.

Appearance - Clear orange body. Medium white head. Good retention.

Smell - Yeasty and estery. Sweet caramel and honey. Some slightly grassy hops.

Taste - This is all over the place. Sweet caramel malts. Strong fruitiness, like green apples. Lots of yeast flavors. Hops behind the sweetness and malt. Tart finish.

Mouthfeel - Medium body. High carbonation.

Overall - I don't know what to think. It seems like the type of a beer that does not benefit from close analysis.

9/5...brewery draft. Bright gold, low foam, active bubbles. Pine and grapefruit notes. Malty base and a hoppy grapefruit surround. Smooth feel. Tangy and bitter finish. Tasty and well balanced.

The IPA hoppiness meshes well with the elements of the saison yeast for a brew with great complexity, and the finish brings on a complementary slight funk. Color is a little darker than expected due to the local malts, but this is a very well put together brew that displays the strengths of each respective brewery. Overall very strong.
