Style: Hefeweizen

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 4.80%

Availability: Year-round

Notes / Commercial Description:
The dream begins with open top fermentation. At high krausen a foamy, rocky yeast head crests the sides of the fermenter releasing notes of black pepper and spicy clove. Unfiltered and cloudy with yeast, it's slightly tart & downright refreshing.

I did not like this, it taste similar to a very light tripel belgium at first but a very watered down version of it, not my fav from troegs i prefer the red hibiscus ipa that troegs make which is very good

The appearance was a nice hazy yellow to orange color, definitely looks filtered to me. In the weizen glass, it definitely had a nice two finger soft white foamy head that dissipates a fairly moderate pace. The smell was slightly peppery yet clove-like banana-esque refreshing-ness. I would say spectacular in Summer. The taste was peppery spicy with a super nice allocated banana-ness coming back to balance it all out. The aftertaste was slightly banana/spiciness leading to a nice refreshing (could be construed as watery) aftertaste. I’d say it was a dry finish. On the palate, this one sits about a light to medium and shows a pretty good sessionable quality running about my mouth and tongue. The carbonation hits, but isn’t overly done. Overall, if there’s ever any hefeweizen I’d ever like to replicate in my homebrewing, it would be this.

Poured from the bottle. See-through not cloudy like most hefeweizens. Super sweet bubblegum wheat flavor.

A sweet tease of the senses. Doesn't push me over the edge but keeps me interested enough to want to come back a time or two.

Happy dreams........

Nice beer that tastes of banana and spice. A good head that remains throughout and the beer maintains a solid, albeit medium yellow appearance. A wheat beer that I prefer during the colder months, less so in the hot summer months.

Pours a bright gold with a medium haze, almost as if it were partially filtered. Very nice, white head.

Smells yeasty with a very heavily wheated grain bill. Black pepper and cereal. A firm and well composed aroma, stronger than most American wheats yet still not as intense as European hefes.

Tastes expertly brewed. White pepper up front, a very creamy middle with spice and lemon. The lemon grows a bit more tart at the back end and lingers on the finish.

Basically a cross between an American Pale Wheat and an old world hefe. The yeast bite is much more pronounced and peppery than, say, Blue Moon or 312, but it's still very clearly an American iteration of the style. For what it is, it's quite good, largely bolstered by a nearly flawless body.
