Style: Hefeweizen

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 4.80%

Availability: Year-round

Notes / Commercial Description:
The dream begins with open top fermentation. At high krausen a foamy, rocky yeast head crests the sides of the fermenter releasing notes of black pepper and spicy clove. Unfiltered and cloudy with yeast, it's slightly tart & downright refreshing.

Poured into a Hefeweizen glass, the color is a typical hazy orange gold. The white bubbly head builds about two fingers high and dissipates fast, leaving little lacing.
The smell is banana, pineapple, pear, clove and coriander.
The taste is likewise, with the fruit flavors up front, and the clove and coriander with some black pepper in the middle. A yeasty finish leave a remarkable refreshing taste in your mouth.
Good american Hefeweizen.

Let me start by saying I am not fond of Belgian-style wheats, so take this for what it is worth. I know this is an American style, technically, but it reminded me far more of the various European style wheats.

The beer pours light and slightly hazy. The head was thin and dissipated quickly.

The flavor is lemony and light, with a strong phenolic taste. It has a decent mouthfeel, effervescent and sprightly.

Fans of European wheat beers will probably like this beer and find it refreshing. I don't and I didn't. But that's just me.

Pours a pale golden color with a huge fluffy snow white head that recedes quickly to a thin film on the top. Lace covers the sides of the glass. Smell is of green bananas. Taste is bready and biscuity with a mild fruit finish. Tangerines maybe. Feels crisp and refreshing on the palate. Drinkable on a hot day.
Not my favorite style, but I would drink again.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a stemmed tulip glass.

A: Light straw in color, a bit hazy, small head with no lacing, falls to a thin bubbly collar.

S: Very yeasty and wheaty; a touch of citrus (lemon?).

T: Lots of wheat and a big yeast profile; mild lemon and a bit of sweet orange.

M: medium-light body and lots of carbonation; light and refreshing

O: A nice flavorful summer beer.

An American Witbier! That's what this is drinkin like to me. Light, refreshing with some nice spicy notes. Corriander is in here along with some fresh orange zest. Some good wheat notes in flavor and texture pulse throughout the journey of the beer.
Every once in awhile I am reminded of some american pale wheat ales that I haven't been overly fond of but this beer doesn't drop the ball like those others do. Clean and solid all around, I would match this up against Belgian brewed witbiers.
