Clear golden color with slightly off-white head. Aroma has herbal hops, resin and caramel malts. Taste starts with orange flavor followed by the earthy/grassy hops. Finish has medium to low resiny bitterness. Medium body with crisp carbonation. Overall it's an easy drinking pale ale with lower bitterness but nice hoppy flavors.

Look: Hazy golden color with a medium head.
Smell: Melon, some lemon, some bread. There's a sweet, tomato-like aroma as well, like smelling spaghetti sauce.
Taste: Melon and some other fruity flavors. Some sweet, caramel-like bread flavor. A bit of minty, herbal hop flavor, ending in a light bitterness.
Feel: Medium-bodied and slightly tongue-coating.
Overall: To me, this tastes like a fairly standard IPA with the hop bitterness dialed back. Some interesting aromas and flavors going on here. Definitely worth checking out.

Not bad at all. If I'm looking for a relatively low-ABV but good tasting pale ale, usually I go with Founders All Day IPA, but Solid Sender is well, a solid alternative from a great PA brewer.

Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours golden yellow orange with a fluffy white head. Smells of grassy and citrus hops. Tastes of earthy, grassy, and citrus hop notes with decent sweet grain. Beer is light bodied and very easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

12 ounce bottle poured into a tulip glass.
L---Clear, light amber color. Thin head with no retention and no lacing.
S---Malt forward. Lemon is fairly strong. Orange notes follow.
T---Sweet malts, caramel. Orange & lemon from the hops. Lots of flavor for a low ABV beer.
O---I won't seek this one out, but I could easily see knocking back a few if they were laying around.
F---Crisp & clean. Goes down very easy. Low carbonation.

12 oz bottle poured into pilsner glass.
L - Pours slightly hazy straw color, white foamy head, leaves a thin lacing,
S - Orange rind, honey, biscuit malt, some cereal grain and piney hops.
T - Follows the nose, very bittersweet with a malt-forward start and a slightly bitter fruit, slightly astringent finish.
F - Light-to-medium bodied, fairly carbonated, slightly dry finish. Very drinkable.
O - A "solid" pale ale that's very balanced and drinkable. Not an overly hoppy-ended pale ale.

(12 oz bottle, 'freshest by' 05/16/18, poured into a simple glass mug)
L: crystal-clear, brass-colored liquid; two-finger high sponge of airy foam... a messy, spitty cap maintains throughout, with some random chunks of crystalline lace left
S: sweet orange peel, dried berries, dried flowers, very faint note of mildly-toasted, doughy grain... bit of a mineral undertone, not much discernible sweetness... altogether nothing unusual or unique, but it has a well-rounded, potent fragrance
T: very light, bready malt flavor covered with a dense swarm of flowery hop gnats... the fruit essence from the smell doesn't translate quite as vibrantly on the palate, perhaps owing to the microscopic sweetness detected - it's quite dry... by the second or third sip, a mellow fruity bubblegum note lingers behind... the hop flavor and bitterness suit the dryness of the malt, however, the malt could stand to have more character/depth
F: smooth, light-medium bodied; thin layer of dextrin/resiny fat; lingering phenolic hum lit up by soft boozy warmth; those with the hop bitterness provide a delicate tug on the taste buds... drinks like it's going flat, could use a lil' spritz
O: decent flavors, but a bit more restrained than expected - perhaps it would be wise to try a much fresher bottle to compare... it took me awhile to get around to trying this, and it'll take me awhile to get around to trying it again

DATE: December 14, 2017... OCCASION: just returned from Michael's triumphant basketball start... GLASSWARE: Howard's Pub pint... pours a clear, golden body with a creamy, half-finger head... light, crispy malts begin the profile, with a light, aromatic flower and soft hops... lemon, thyme, pepper, vanilla, and some bitter elements suggest a pale ale with character.... lively, malt-forward body that holds to the throat... white head laces the glass neatly... a medium-bodied ale, passing amicably from teeth to throat... caramel, floral hints, light biscuit and barley, lemon, mountain laurels, honey, and a sweet finish... nothing derogatory to say about this beer, as it accomplishes what it attempts--to be a serviceable, pleasing pale that is not unlike other Troegs offerings...

This sample may be old. Let me check. Yeah, I am pretty sure the label says it's from 2016. I will talk to my vendor. It is not any good when it's that old. Like most brews, it takes on a funky taste.
Not recommended.

Almost no aroma. Nice flavor and easy to drink. Not spectacular, but pleasant.
