Each spring, hop growers dust off their pruning shears and trim the first shoots, bolstering the bines for a rich growing season. First Cut - a mouthful of silky Simcoe, Comet, and a touch of mango - is a nod to this ritual, without which the world would be a less hoppy place.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into my trusty Dogfish tulip
L: Semi-opaque golden orange pour. Thin white head... spotty lacing.
S: Mango and tropical fruits. Citrusy hops.
T/F: Somewhat 1-dimensional in taste. Fruity hops... noticeable mango and tropical fruits. A bit of citrus. Thin in body... carbonation is on point but not enough oomph. Finish is fruity.
O: An okayish flavor profile... but just too thin/weak for the flavor this beer should be packing. Really expected more... especially coming on the heels of 'Nugget Nectar'. Glad I only got a 6'er.

Pours light amber with a 1 inch white head. Moderate lacing. Slight haze.
Aroma is floral, spice, mango, orange, pine.
Taste is pine, grapefruit, mango, orange zest.
Medium bodied, light carbonation. Semi-dry finish.
Pretty mild IPA, but it's a good one.

Pours a clear, light amber with a two-inch head, solid retention and lacing. Pine resins with amped up sweetness on the nose, mango, orange juice and orange peels. Flavors are muted and more bitter than I expected from the nose - grapefruit is most prominent, mango lurking behind. Finish is more grapefruit and pine. Mouthfeel a on the thinner side with strong carbonation. Would give it another chance.

I got a can of this beer off the single shelf from my local Giant Eagle store. It poured a slightly hazy amber with thin white head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had subtle tropical fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with tropical fruit punch highlights. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a good beer.

Definitely has the feel of a "juicy" IPA. The hint of mango is not an overbearing fruity flavor, but rather a subtle finish on the beer. Overall a very easy to drink IPA.
