How does a beer with such a great nose taste so bland? It could be just a little sweeter and slightly more bitter. The mango would not be noticed if it was not on the label. I love Troegs but this is a miss for me.

Very generic and light flavor profile, mango is not really present at all, just a very faint grassy opens hops profile, not very bitter which is fine but not much flavor otherwise

12oz bottle poured into a tulip appears a slightly hazy copper color with off-white cap a finger tall that fades leaving stringy lace.

Juicy fruited/hoppy aroma slightly catty and dank towards the back. The wonderful initial aspects of this seemingly breathe away to nothing quite quickly leaving toasty malt, butter and minerals remaining in the glass.

The taste is sadly nothing like the aroma indicates. Its vegetal, mineral laden and has a buttery diacetyl aftertaste. It has some hints of pleasant fruity hops but the bad greatly outweigh the good leaving a lingering aftertaste akin to chlorine.

Medium in body with modest carbonation. This started off like it was going to be amazing but half way through my glass it becomes a vegetal chlorinated mess that I dont want to have anything to do with. How can something smell so promising out the gate and turn this bad? I ended up pouring this down the drain.

The aroma has a gentle mango touch which I approve of. But it doesn't feature much else. Maybe a touch of an odd herbal quality (which doesn't help), and that's about it - at least it doesn't feature any truly gross qualities. The flavor profile is similar: there's nothing intrinsically wrong with how it tastes, but said taste is incredibly timid. Light touches of mango, pineapple, mint, and caramel malt flutter throughout, yet nothing pops at all. It doesn't even seem perfectly balanced either. While it's not exactly a good flavor experience, the mango pops better as this opens up, and it doesn't come across artificially. Plus, the feel works better: it's a touch sweet, but in the right ways. It's also crisp, dry, and well carbonated (the feel would work even better if it tasted great). A disappointment from Troegs, one that I will not purchase again.

2.78/5: The first cut is always the weakest

Poured from bottle. Agree with most of the reviews below. This beer looks pretty and enticing when poured. It has an intriguing aroma, too. Then you taste it and that's when it goes haywire. It lacks body and the flavors definitely clash. If the can didn't say mango then you would never know it was there. As the beer warms, the finish becomes more and more unbearable. This was a "final beer of the night and don't care if I finish it" beer. Will not buy again

12 oz bottle. Pours amber with tall, long lasting, fluffy white head, nice lacing and lively carbonation. Aroma is of citrusy hops, bready malt and tropical fruit. Body is medium and crisp. Herbal hops, bready malt and tropical fruit fill the mouth. Finish is long and somewhat sour. I would not spent money on this brew.

Pours hazy gold copper color with a 1 finger white foamy head that was full of tiny bubbles faded slow to average time and left good spotty lacing.

Smells of wheat, biscuit, light caramel, piney hops, spruce tips, earthy notes, lemon zest and dry grass. Not the IPA nose I expected from a Tröegs beer, it was disappointing.

Tastes of grapefruit, orange peel and lemon up front, then like the nose has biscuit, light caramel, piney hops, spruce tips, earthy notes, dry grass, tea leaf and aspirin. Not sure where the mango is that they list on the label, but this brew went way off course for an IPA. Not sure why this tastes the way it does, but it's a rare miss for the brothers Tröegs.

This was a Troeg's offering I had not seen before. It starts a bit nondescript, with a muddled malt and fruit melange, with late breaking hps that clash more than they accentuate. Texture is also a bit watery. Not my favorite from the Troeg's stable.

This beer pours a hazy copper orange color with a creamy, one finger, off white head. Retention is minimal and there are many spots of lacing left on the glass.

The smell is subtle at best. A touch of mango, pine and bready malts are barely even noticable.

Taste is even worse. It starts off with sweet and juicy mango that is almost immediately swept aside by a strange green vegetal taste, some bready malts and a very odd mineral like flavor. The flavor profile of this beer is pretty wretched.

Feel is thin and watery.

Overall this beer is not very good. Not sure what happened with this one, because I've never had a Troegs beer that I thought should not have passed the quality control testing. I guess there is a first time for everything.

Nice hazy appearance, faint grassy smell. Very light taste....al out tastes like a session IPA. Disappointing offering from Troegs.
