I believe this is my first review. I just couldn't let this gem go "unreviewed", sitting there without its proper praise. Think Sunshine Pils but 7.4% alcohol. Its just as glolden clear as sunshine, prima, pikeland pils and the like. Don't think because its stronger that its not just a drinkable. They did beef up the bitterness slighly to cover the alcohol which they did excellently and it finishes crisp like you would expect from sunshine pils. Did I mention how drinkable this one is?

On tap at the Drafting Room in Exton. They put this on along with the Anniversary 15th as part of the release celebration.

The beer pours a bright gold color with pretty decent head retention and lacing. For a 2 year old pilsner, this doesn't look half bad. I don't get a lot on the nose, just some cookie dough and biscuit aroma. It certainly doesn't smell bad though. On the palate this beer is pretty good, but I'm guessing some of the hoppy bitterness one usually finds in a good German pilsner has faded just a bit. There is still some noticeable bitterness in the finish, but it's pretty light. Otherwise, this beer is pretty smooth on the palate, with some light honey, cookie dough and moderate sweetness. The beer is a bit viscuous on the palate, and you can tell the alcohol is up there a bit. Drinkability is still pretty good, with the alcohol, for the most part, pretty well disguised.

This is a nice beer that is still drinking pretty well, though I'm guessing it was much more fresh and drinkable in its youth.

I had this on tap at The Drafting Room Springhouse on Friday before the Voodoo Tasting. It is a simple approachable clean lager with few frills. It is sweet and malty more than Sunshine pils and the alcohol pokes through. An interesting beer enjoyable, [shrugs].

Appearance: Served a translucent hazy gold color with a frothy white cap and little lacing.

Smell: Reserved aroma that contains bread grass and pepper but you have to hunt for it.

Taste: Sweet malt element, fruits and grains crisp lemon hops a splash of pine and a gentle earthy hop finish. the beer is a clean crisp juice lager that is bigger than a traditional pils by a notch. It is approachable and simple.

Mouthfeel: Soft smooth and crisp, dry.

Drinkability: There is a time and place for a simple sessioner (that is when I typically drink pils). This big abv could be dangerous. I can see some college guys ordering a pitcher and w/o know it they'll get there ass kicked. Take it it easy. Its worth a shot.

Hope this is helpful.
Cheers!

Had this the 1st day it was on tap at the TDR in Springhouse. Stopped in and got a growler for a family gathering Friday night.

A-Pours golden with a very slight haze. 2 finger head of loose bubbles falls rather quickly to thin coat and slight collar. Looks like a good pils should.

S-Clean fresh yeast and eathry hops, floral hops and biscuit malt. Faint husk aroam on the finish

T-Earthy hops, a little green hops, some biscuit malt. Definitely has a pilsner/lager yeast earthy hop thang.

M-Crisp, light body for an Imperial pils

D-good but the 7.5% ABV (according to the menu at TDR) l9imitds this to just a couple.
