Notes: When we make our annual pilgrimage to the hop-growing hotbed of Yakima Valley, we’re like kids in a candy store. We eyeball the hops on the bines, crush them in our hands and rub them til their oils fill the air. LolliHop brings together three of our favorites. Dry-hopping with Citra and Mosaic layers in notes of orange, grapefruit and melon, while Azacca in the kettle adds hints of papaya and pineapple. Locally harvested rustic pale malt provides the backbone, and wheat and oats make this beer silky smooth with a touch of haze.

We taste: pear, citrus, hint of melon.

When she walked into the room her undergarments dripped of perspiration that painted her skin in beads of sweat resembling cave drawings and soap film residue. As she traced the carpet with a ballerina's form, the glow of the moon accentuated her skin tone in hues of radiant copper mixed with honey, gold, and amber. The closer she got, I could smell her pheromones beckon me lustfully. Each move emitted lemon zest, ruby red grapefruit, orange peel, honeydew, peppercorn, faint grass, muted cracker and green onion. Her lips tasted the same with hints of cherry Starburst, the gentlest wisp of spearmint, young papaya, pineapple mixed with honey, and gumdrops. Her tongue is assertive, yet masterful. The balance on the palate is soft, pillowy, and liberating. Despite the myriad sweet flavors, her hops display a roundness backed by a complimentary pale malt that never lends itself to be cloying. This is a masterclass in brewing from Troegs and I, for one, am in awe. Cheers!

Golden color with thick head and marked gravity. Smells of pine and citrus. For a non-hoppy beer fan this is a complex as well as likable beer.

Draft in a 10 oz glad. Light haze. Fine bubbles. Not your typical IPA. Very smooth and easy to drink. Warms you just a little bit. Be careful this one will sneak up on you. Will definitely order this again.

L. Yellow with a hint of orange, mostly clear, frothy head of various sizes bubbles.
S. Candied fruit, a bit musty, pineapple, orange, some lemon and melon.
T. Light biscuit, sweet lemon, orange, pineapple, honeydew and some cantaloupe, juicy ripe berry like fruit juice Kool aid, finishes with some lemon, melon, and lemon-lime soda.
F. A bit fuller than medium bodied, smooth. Yeah, very smooth.
O. For me, a different IPA. Lacks any bitterness, not very balanced, but I am pretty sure that's what they were going for. I say it's very good. Cheers!

On tap, pours a mostly clear dark orange. Smell and taste are a little muted, which you don't expect at this ABV. I thought it would be much hoppier. Still a decent IPA.

Poured a golden orange body with minimal head and lace patches down the glass. The aroma is fruity (like papaya) with some floral hoppiness and touches of malts. Smooth, a little fluffy, has a mild hop bitterness with some juicy mango sweetness and clean finish.

Crisp yellow and slightly transparent with a foamy white nose that has nice lacing as it disappates down the glass. A little bit of that cat pee smell on the nose, touch of citrus. Overall not packing too much of a punch in the nose department. Citrusy notes up front in the flavor, a little bit of dank resiny flavors backing that up. Under the distinctly northwest hop flavor is some orange and a sweetness that helps with some balance. The body is a little light for the hop profile and tends to sway the balance away from the center and towards being overhopped. I think it would be a little more of a sipper if the malt bill had a bit more umph to it. That said, the hop profile is pretty nice and never steers towards overly bitter. Finishes a little wet rather than dry, and tends to linger a touch longer than it should. Could use a bit sweeping carbonation to pull it together. I think the balance of this beer is a little off, but the hop flavors do come through nicely

Pours a very slightly hazy golden color with a half inch white head that left a lot of lacing. Smell is on the mild side with citrus, tropical fruit and a bit of malt. Tastes of lemon, orange, cantaloupe, pineapple, sweet malts and a bit of bread. Medium bodied and carbonation, minimal bitterness, smooth mouth feel, very easy drinking.
