Poured from the bottle on the porch after enchiladas. Style isn't really my jam. Dubbel/brown ale, a bit alcoholy.

L - Looks like Dr. Pepper.
S - Cherry Twizzlers with malt.
T- Bitterness at first. Cherry/apricot sweetness at the end.
F - Rough around the edges. Highly carbonated.
O - Wouldn't go out of our way to buy this one one. Bitterness is what kills this beer.

Beautifully clear slightly lighter than cola.
The Troegenator...troge meister...Steve....
Almost perfect, but a little on the sweet side for me, and thats saying something.
Even at 8.2 abv, it doesn't puff alcohol, but just a few notches too sweet.
Awful artwork and will not have another.

Look - Pours a clear dark ruby color with lighter orange highlights, a thin ring of beige head, good retention.
Aroma - Brown sugar, earth, spiced rum, savory.
Taste - Massive amounts of malt, layers and layers of bread crust. Sweetness is high with notes of molasses, medjool date and honey. The finish transitions into a much drier flavor with burnt toast and an earthy note. The aftertaste reminds me of leather, something I regularly find in cigars. It sounds odd but it's very good. As it warms a faint poof of alcohol.
Feel - Not quite full bodied, a little sticky but finishes on the dry side thanks to the carbonation and an earthy/slightly bitter finish. Alcohol is well hidden with a subtle warmth as the beer comes to room temperature.

Overall - Lots of flavor and complexity here, great beer.

Two finger fizzy head, more bubbly than creamy.Color is a reddish orange hue. Smells like cherries, alcohol, English toffee. Tastes like fresh bread, dried peaches, cherry, slight chocolate notes. Finishes dry like a lager, not oily or slick. This brew is outstanding in my opinion.

Pours dark, reddish caramel appearance with slight off-white head that dissipates in true bock form. Dark roasted malt aroma with caramel. Tastes like dark roasted malts, toffee, chocolate, with a touch of bitterness. Light-medium bodied slick finish. Taste complexity improves as beer warms.

Randomly pickeed this brew up in the uptown market conveniently located at my sisters hi-rise apartment. Weather it was the 8.2%? Or the fact that ive been watching game of thrones all this weekend? All i know is this brew caught my eye more so than the others. Definitely best drunk out the bottle in my opinion as a rich thick flavor that would resemble a dark hersheys yet caramely chocolate milkyway,Which is blasphemy in its self, can be tasted directly on the tounge mmmm (pause) continued, beer #2: followed by a sweet frutiness you'd expect from this style of beer, berry smelling. With a feel of exuberance, social , strong yes, but the toffee flavor so good you just want more, every sip is appreciated with a nice slow swallow. Never thought id like a brew that had chocolatey caramel notes, i always went with cider, or peachy beer, but this brew by far surpasses them all, Excellent brewing

Has a dark brown look with a small head and intense taste ,very intense flavors that have you asking for more.
Intense flavor and smell of molasses, chocolate and carmel.
Slighty strong in the ABV range at 8.2 but all around my favorite beer. Troegs best offering,in my book. A great value at $36 a case. World class outstanding beer! I serve it almost frozen so it slushes in a frosted glass.
