Dense, slowly receding head. Good streaking on the glass as I drink the beer. The liquid is hazy with a pale gold color.
Mild pale malt start to the nose. The hop comes in like a bouquet of fresh cones. Attractive and uncomplicated.
There's nearly no malt flavor even on the initial sip. No notable alcohol presence despite the 8.3% abv. The hop dries out the brew and provides strong bitterness--nearly astringent. The body is netural with a lower than average carbonation. The finish is dry and harsh, leaving a long, lip-smacking aftertaste. Hop lovers will love this beer but for me it's too unbalanced.

Had to pick up a 4-pack of these beautiful 16 oz cans when I saw it this winter. It is a big IPA with great citrus smell. For a DIPA, I thought the alcohol was well hidden. Great mouthfeel as expected from Troegs. This one doesn't disappoint - great winter beer with awesome IPA taste.

16 oz. can. Slightly opaque yellow with fine white carbonation. The flavor is some grapefruit and citrus, with a good deal of bitterness in the finish. An enjoyable IPA with a mild alcohol kick.

Light haze on the pale yellow body. Large white head tops it off along with very good lacing. A modest whiff of tropical fruit before a solid dose of citrus and pine settles in. Hop dominated taste that does a good job blending their different characteristics. Malts provide a non-intrusive supporting role. The increased abv, compared to the regular BOHs, is noticeable from the first sip to the finish. Well carbonated, full bodied mouthfeel.

Pours a pale gold. Thick foam. Light hoppy aroma. Sweet tropical body immediately followed by a heavy bitterness. Juicy and crisp. Ann excellent double.

Double Blizzard pours hazy gold color, small head. The aroma is melon, bright pine hops. Flavor is melon, mellow, pine hop flavors. Good body and flavor. Overall, a very flavorful no frills big IPA.

A nice imperial IPA. Easy to drink, not crazy hoppy but still hoppy. Smooth and clean with an almost wintery aroma.d

12/3/22. Poured from a 16 oz can purchased from the Troeg's gift shop.
Aromas.... Orange juice, lemon. Bright.
Taste... Strong mango, but not overly sweet. Along papaya lines with a hint of grapefruit. Ends with a smooth coating bitterness. Nice tingling carbonation. Brewer notes soft pine. Yep!
Good lunch time libation.

16oz can served in a curvy Fremont glass. "Freshest by 03/30/2023." Received last week from @jonphisher.
Pours fairly hazy with a medium sized head, settles into a dense ring that climbs up the side of the glass and a remarkably even, pretty, thick skin. Smell is citrus, pine, moderately juicy. Maybe some orange pith.
Taste is all that and more -- really bright, super pithy, fairly hefty resinous pine/grapefruit bite, noticeable booze.
Mouthfeel is big, reasonably thick, heading toward chewy but not quite there. Has a little bit of a chalkiness to the texture. Overall, this is a nice, hefty DIPA.
