Thanks to FriedSlug for this trade!

A dark ominous pour forming a 1/2 finger of beige bubbly head.

Aroma of peppery black coffee bean covered in chocolate. Some basic caramel, crystal, and cocoa malts are also detected.

Strong coffee flavor with suggestions of chocolate, some stale oats, slight cocoa. Stale milk, peppers.

Feel is creamy, very watery, semi-carbonated, and a dry coffee roasty finish.

Overall, pretty underwhelming. I was hoping for more but alas this did not meet my expectations. Won't return to.

Stout does a very poor job of masking the alcohol level of 7.5%. Tastes like coffee and dark chocolate but the aftertaste of alcohol is very prevalent. However, the pour was very nice with a nice thick head that maintained itself for a while.

This one pours a black color with a thin short lived dark tan to brown head that settles very slowly leaving a short lacing on the glass.

The nose is strong with dark chocolate, chili, salt, coffee, alcohol, and grass notes.

The taste is a hopped up stout with great bitterness and undertones of fruit. I detect notes of very dark chocolate, coffee, coriander, nutmeg, cloves, alcohol, and pine resin.

The mouthfeel is rich and perfect for a stout.

Overall an exceptional beer with fantastic flavors. I highly recommend it.

Appearance - Pours jet black with a thick fluffy mocha colored head that lasts forever. Spotty lacing.

Aroma - Roasted malts stand out, sweet dark chocolate, black coffee, some vanilla and a hint of smoke.

Flavor - The main flavors that stand out are roasted malts and coffee. Undertones of dark chocolate and a bit of charred flavor as well.

Feel - Heavy thick feel that is normal to oatmeal stouts, well carbonated.

Overall - I thought this beer was really well done, I was afraid the coffee would not be as noticeable but the flavors were great.

Pours a deep ebony color with a tight, mocha head that leaves little chunks of lacing.

Smells of the coffee and roasted, charred notes.

Tastes of the coffee and some fruits. Coffee notes lead off before some chocolate and brown sugar. This gives to some citrus and a bit of berries. About of oats in the middle. Roasted bitterness comes towards the end along with acrid, charred malt notes. Fiinishes with a bit of lingering fruits and coffee.

Mouth feel is medium with a smooth amount of carbonation.

Overall, this is a solid coffee stout, but could be a little smoother.

Had this on draft, was pretty decent overall. There was a spice aroma that I couldn't quite place, it was cinnamon like but meandered more towards nutmeg I think. Might have been a coffee note given the makeup of this beer. Very drinkable, roast bitterness was pleasant and not overpowering. Oats provided a silkiness to the mouthfeel, which lent a luxurious sort of quality to the light cocoa aroma that you get when you initially smell this beer.
