Pours a medium golden with white head. Some citrus on the nose. Sticky pine sap and citrus all the way. This is a classic West Coast flavor profile. It lingers somewhat, but not enough for you to feel underwhelmed on subsequent sips. A touch of resin on the finish sticks to your tongue. This is a really good IPA.

Central PA’s most iconic beer. You could go to a dive bar and they’d most likely have this on tap along with a couple domestics. The best WCIPA made on the East Coast right here!

All the way west coast style. Dry but hops are very present and delicious. Dry bread taste if you will. Malt overtones. Decent lacing. I like.

This brew boasts an orange color and a diminutive white head.
Nose is citrusy -- redolent of lemon in particular.
Carbonation is perfect for the style.
Good balance of hop and malt flavors.

APPEARANCE: Clean amber, with superb off-white lace.
NOSE: Sticky citrus, tropical and floral. Superb.
TASTE: Big hops! Bitter citrus and floral, finishing with a lingering palate-coating resinousness. A classic American IPA that’s just delicious.

12oz can, pilsner glass, best by 11/17/22.
The clarity stands out amongst cases and cases of hazy, New England, and unfiltered peers. It’s a rich golden rod throughout and topped with a happy, long lasting white foam.
Zesty, bitter orange peel with good strength and a bit of bitter alcohol.
Candied orange, bitter peel, pine, and a malt base with biscuit notes. The bitterness is strong with this one. It has a solid body with a bit of sweetness and bitterness that measures up.
Medium-full body, very bitter and drying finish, medium-low carbonation. Classic American IPA with cranked up bitterness.
This is a really solid American IPA I’ve passed over many times. Good to know it’s a reliable option.

Poured from kegerator sixtel. The first thing you experience with this beer is great, nice golden color, foamy head and light lemony aroma. A moment after the sip, it goes downhill. You feel a too-high alcohol bite and lingering piney bitterness. If they could figure a way to reduce those two things, this would be a great beer.

just an incredibly balanced classic West Coast style IPA. No frills but spot on. Just a little bit of sweetness on the tail end of an otherwise crisp resinous ride.

It says it’s an Imperial IPA- but I don’t really get the flavor I expected. Very sticky with pine resin and citrus. Very easy drinking and enjoyable. I honestly expected more pine and hop bitterness for an imperial. However- I really do like this. Another great offering from Troegs.

Did not impress as expected. Not much head after pour. First sip tasted more like a lager, then somewhat bitter. Agreeable overall though.

Pours a clear gold. Thick foam. Light hoppy aroma. Heavy hop body. Strong bitterness. It persists. Kind of bland. Not a lot of character. Not bad but could be better.

12 oz. bottle pour. Mostly clear golden yellow with a thin white head. The flavor is very hop-forward with a hint of malt sweetness. Overall an excellent example of the IPA style.

LOOK: Pours a very clear and bright gold with a slightly off white head. Retention was decent, slowly receding to a thin skin but retaining very solid side glass lace.
AROMA: Floral hops, citrus of mandarin orange, pine resin. Bread malts are also evident.
TASTE: Drying and some hop bitterness up front. Bread malts balance. Drying thru the finish.
Very solid, IPA

Pours from can very clear, like apple juice. Head is almost the brightest white I have seen in a beer with nice lacing. Nose is piney and citrusy. Taste is at first just a typical IPA flavor, then the backbite hits with a bitterness that grabs the back sides of the tongue. Superb beer!

Excellent beer! My only thing is it smells pretty funky. Other than that, super rich and complex taste. Beautiful harmony between the malt and hops, nice and clean feel. This well deserves a stand out spot up there in the ever expansive world of IPA's, and for all the right reasons. Perfection, take notes people

I used to love this IPA. If fact, it was one of my favorite. But something has changed. It no longer has a "Hop Forward" style. Consequently it has a more noticeable malt taste. Along with the high ABV, the taste no longer has a WOW factor. Sad to see this once great beer for hop heads become what it has. Now I'll order other west coast IPAs instead.

Pours golden yellow with a 1.5" white head, which lasts. Heavy lacing to the end.
Aroma is floral, pine, grapefruit, grass.
Excellent grapefruit & pine taste with underlaying notes of caramel. Resinous.
Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Dry, resinous finish.
Another very good DIPA form Troegs.
