Poured into a Dogfish Spiegelau glass. Bottleneck says 032714

A-Pours a light amber color with 1/2 inch off-white head that retains well before becoming a thick ring around the edge of the glass and a mostly full sheet of surface foam. Resilient lacing leaves large clots behind.

S- Grassy, somewhat citrusy hop aroma without a lot of malt backing. Pleasant but somewhat mild for a pseudo-double IPA. Slightly musty with a tinge of alcohol.

T- Bitterness comes in and creeps up on the palate with some citrusy character but nothing too crazy. Alcohol is very well hidden as this drinks like a single IPA with double IPA assertiveness and flavor.

M- Sharp and oily from the hops with medium carbonation and a lightish body.

O- Such a great IPA that dances on that DIPA borderline.

12 oz. can poured into a Flying Dog goblet (canned on 3/6/14)

A: Nice light straw color that is slightly hazy. Nice pencil thick foam that was quite stiff and leaves a nice frothy covering that has decent lacing.

S: Light hop notes that are nice and floral.

T: Just a bit hoppy and quite light. It is a bit old, but the can sure helps keep it decent. Good enough flavor that is very easy to drink and flavorful.

M: Bumpy and rough, it has the feel of big bubbles that just lightly brush past.

O: Good stuff here but I will need to try it a bit fresher.
