Quality and Selection- Troegs is, by far, my favorite brewery. I have never had a bad or off beer from Troegs and I pretty much love everything they make. All the scratch beers I've tasted-their regular lineup, and their seasonals are exceptional. On tap at the brewpub they have all of their regular line-up, a seasonal or two and two or three scratch beers- which, of course are brewery/brewpub only. Last time I was their they had their scratch pumpkin ale on-which was AMAZING.

Atmosphere- I'm not sure what theme they were going with here- industrial brewery, german oktoberfest, or high school cafeteria- but the brewpub area is some cluster of a combination of the three. Totally packed with hundreds of people and the only seats remotely available were at the giant octoberfest/cafeteria like table for 100- you go wait in line cafeteria-style for food and you can either try your luck waiting at the bar for a drink or flag down a beer server to get drinks. Very loud and crowded. Its saving grace is that it is very clean, has a great brewery tour, and fantastic store.

Service- Like I said- the beer servers are nice and know their beer-but you have to flag them down and you have to go wait in line for food.

Food- Limited as it is a "snack bar"- with an atypical selection including salmon, tuna tacos, brautwurst, and duck. I had the Brat- it was ok, we had an $8 stuffed pretzel too.

Overall- I will obviously be back since this place is my favorite brewery ever- but probably in the early afternoon when its not so crowded and I don't plan on eating here ever again unless they make some changes.

Tour was awesome and the place was great. Beerhall style dining area was perfect. Selection of brews including specials only available at the brewery. Tried a number of the specials and all were excellent. Food was outstanding by any measure. Highly recommended.

Stored by while on vacation to Hershey, Pa. Only stopped to get a growler fill but my first impression was “wow what a great place”. Nice vibe great selection. Drinking Blizzard Hops IPA. A pretty darn good winter ale. Would probably rate higher but was only there far 29 minutes. Currently 48 degrees. Highly recommend.

[3rd stop on a 1 day brewery tour]
What the ..? Clean, HUGE..modern, bustling with every walk of life (families included), loud with conversation. My wife and I met my sister and her BF for a couple drinks and a quick bite to eat. Started off with a couple of flights and moved on to the glass drinks. Everyone had something to eat.. the poutine fries and Oktoberfest pretzel stole the show (the chicken fingers were overcooked). They allowed a tab to be run, the wait staff/service was very good. Wound up staying for almost 4 hours. A good experience!

Great beer choices. Something for everyone. More of a restaurant feel than a "hang out and have some beers" feel.

Grew up to a town East of Hershey, so whenever I trek back to PA to visit my parents, this is where me and my son often go to with them. With that in mind, it's easy to take kids in with the selection of the food off to the back (glad they have that now-a-days). Me, well, I table up with my dad to often check out their new Scratch beer series that they're always coming up with. This facility is always clean and well kept. The walking history tour is quite legit too. Their bottles to go and paraphernalia off to the right is spot on. There's really nothing else in Hershey one needs to see for beer, to be honest.

A massive hall with large long tables. The way beer should be drank IMHO. Very touristy though. Makes sense being right next to Hershey Park. This would be an AWESOME place if in a high-population that could fill it without tourists. (Full disclosure, I was one of those tourists.)

Beer quality is good. These guys aren't afraid to pull beer they don't feel is up to par, and also not afraid to put out a ton of scratch brews. Visit quality depends on your own planning. There's a self guided "tour" which is little more than a walk down a windowed hallway with signs to read. The real tour requires ticket reservation in advance. Ours included a glass and was only a few dollars.

Service is interesting. Get your own food and water, but they'll get your beer IIRC. Very high volume at times, so expect that when thinking about bar service.

Selection is excellent. When we last visited, they had a record amount of scratch beers available to order. Tons available for growling. Probably the largest selection I've experienced at a brewery.

Food. Well, we were really excited to eat here after all the positive reviews we'd seen elsewhere. It looked delicious, and the portions were substantial. Unfortunately, both of us were left feeling ill after eating the food. I almost had to back out of the pre-reserved tour. Soured the entire visit.

Overall good place to stop if you get the chance. Good food and atmosphere. Granted you can by the case, sixer, or singles but for some reason I just wasn't that impressed with the selection. I can't give a specific reason which I guess is unfair but it's just the way I felt. I still make it a point to stop in every time I'm in town for business.

First time visiting and although I enjoyed it (didn't take the tour), it wouldn't kill me if I didn't make it back.

Food was above average and enjoyable, as were the beers. However, I was a little disappointed that I could not get Nugget Nectar in my flight. In fact, it wasn't available at all and I was told by our server that they pulled it because the batch was not a good representation of the brew. Points for honesty on that.

Get there early as this place fills up fast. Server rule as to what they will/won't serve you is a bit jarring on first visit. Get your own water/food.

The new Troegs is one of those so-called “destination breweries”. A massive, new shiny building with cavernous spaces, a ginormous bar and a million tables for dining. Families, tourists, babies… the place is packed with all of them.

This is not your corner garage brewery where you can sit at the bar and talk to the brewer; this is corporate craft brewing at its most efficient. Even the self-guided tour is a one-of-a-kind sterilized experience where you look at fermenters behind high glass walls.

On draft, the classic Troegs lineup plus a bunch of “scratches”. I loved the food most of all, charcuterie and creative small plates. The gift shop is full of tchotchkes you don't need but you'll want to buy, plus plenty of beer.

Would I come back? Maybe, if I'm in the area. But I wouldn't detour or make it a destination. It is just not my kind of brewery experience.
