I had this at the Manayunk Brewery and Restaurant in Manayunk, Pa.
Appearance: A brown body that was barely see through with an off white head that was huge with big bubbles. Better than decent retention with a noticeable lack of lacing.
Smell: Hops, hops and more hops. Certainly lacking depth.
Taste: All American West Coast hops. Very bitter and uninviting. Not bad for an IIPA, although I would overall agree with the APA style choice.
Mouthfeel: Very rigid, a bit hard to take at first, but after a bit it subdues itself.
Drinkability: High if you are only going to have one, but as the amount you have increases, the drinkability goes down.
Don't drink and review.

advetised as a "wet-hopped golden ale" but i took it upon myself to work it into the APA mold. i wish i had copied the menu verbatim, or at least stolen a copy, but it noted that the beer was a rare event that coincided with the hop harvest and included freshly cut and overnighted hops

it had a faded peachy amber color that seemed a constant (or at least with little deviation) among the three beers i sampled today (california dreamin & krooks mill). no real head to speak of

it had a sweet citrus hop flavor, that reminded me of a beer i brewed with simcoe, and a citrusy nos to match. the hop flavor allowed some fruitiness to come through

not carbonated right, i think. little visible carbonation and the mouthfeel betrayed a flatness that i doubt was intended
