Here comes the third (?)/fourth (?) beer in Happy Damn You for Being with the Best Multiple New Hookers with Tea on Sunday When There's Beer, Bro. Woody! (Week 687).
From the CAN: "Character: Strawberry/Pineapple Aroma"; "Belma is a variety of hop grown in one place in the United States: Puterbaugh farms in Mabton, Washington. This unique hop gives off aromas and flavors of strawberries and pineapple, creating an easy-drinking and delicious brew."
I Crack!ed open the vent, but given the slight haziness of its predecessors, I went with a slow, gentle Glug into the awaiting glass. Color was a faintly hazy Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 - 5). An in-glass swirl produced three-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, bone-white head with great retention and even better lacing as it fell. The swirl also helped to release the esters and I definitely got strawberry & pineapple, in spades. Mmm. Mouthfeel was medium. Surprisingly, the taste did not precisely follow the nose. Yes, I was still tasting strawberry & pineapple, but it also had a dank, pine-y resinousness to it. The IBUs were listed as 38, so it had a decent bitterness. In fact, it was surprisingly bitter, given the sweet nose. Finish was slightly bitter and definitely dry, just the way that a beer in the AIPA style should be.

A: hazy pale amber color with some darker orange notes in the middle. 1/2 finger solid white head
S: strawberry, pineapple, mango, some dank herbs, crackers, and grapefruit. Pretty juicy aroma
T: follows the nose pretty accurately. Strawberry, pineapple, and grapefruit. Some crackers and sweet orange behind that. Finish is grapefruit bitterness
M: medium mouth with mid level carbonation
O: it’s a bit one dimeiknal, but that’s ok for a pale ale. Nice balance, it could just use a bit more out of the hops in here. Worth a buy for sure

Smell is very sweet and citrus-y,almost had a lemon lime smell. The taste is pretty hoppy and piney, and not as sweet as the smell might suggest. It's a refreshing beer, very crisp and very enjoyable cold. It's not the most drinkable beer, and it's not all that special. Just a good beer.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a very cloudy dark golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of citrus, some juiciness. Taste is much bolder than the aroma. Lots of juicy citrus, light malts, moderate bitterness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a tasty beer that punches above it's 5.3% weight.
