What's this? A juice bomb NEIPA from... Hooker of all places?

L - slight light OJ. Great orangey yellow gradient.

S - loads of orange and coriander. Slight hint of lemon and even more orange. Tangerine, nectarine, orange-ine. Slightly bready toward the end.

T - more of the smell. Big orangey coriander bomb. This actually tastes a lot like Steady Habit. Juicy with a slightly wheaty galaxy-esque type yeastiness. Pineapple starts to pop in the finish along with satsuma and strawberry. I hate to say this, but the coriander is reminiscent of Blue Moon, just not as sickly and more robust. I have the same issue with Steady Habit too.

F - very drinkable. Smooth and luscious. Buoyantly creamy.

O - wow, color me impressed. I know Hooker is entirely capable of making good beer, it's just that they choose to produce the swill that's popular and sells. They've shown me here that they can brew a good beer and I hope to see more NEIPAs from them soon. Hopefully a little more stone fruit forward, rather than coriander and orange!

Tall can..12/27/17

Pretty typical NEIPA look....leaves nice looking strands of fine lacing

Ripe pineapple sniff...

Tasty n juicy IPA with more pineapple, oranges and general tropical goodness going on...not up there with the true heavy weights of the genre, but this is a more then respectable take on the sizzling hot style.....everyday NEIPA....nothing amazing...but pretty damn good...go get some and enjoy

Tried this multiple times, it is (no exaggeration) one of the best beers to come out of Thomas Hooker (Liberator and the Imperial Porter take high marks, too). It is their best hoppy beer, bar none.

Very hazy and bright in the glass. Tons of juicy hop flavors with restrained bitterness and a light malty sweetness. Very smooth and chewy mouthfeel. Benchmark New England IPA coming out of CT. Pick this up if you find it!

Thomas Hooker Brewing Co. "#No Filter New England India Pale Ale"
12 fl. oz. can without production coding or freshness dating

Notes: Cloudy golden body beneath a white head. The aroma is fruity/citrusy, floral, grassy, and a touch yeasty. The flavor adds some light, doughy malt sweetness. It's really juicy and fruity with lots of tangerine, some mango, and some berries. Not particularly bitter. Medium-light in body and gently crisp. If this is going to be a year 'round beer I've got a new "go-to". Superbly drinkable!

12oz can. Pours a cloudy dirty yellowish orange with an inch plus of frothy white head. Lots of lacing. Tropical and citrusy aroma with some grapefruit, lime, pineapple, tangerine and some herbal hop notes. The taste is juicy and slightly tart fruit. Grapefruit, lime, tangerine and pineapple again. Pink grapefruit and tangerine finish with some doughy bread. Medium bodied with an oily mouthfeel. Very drinkable with a low bitterness and not much of an alcohol presence. I'm also liking the fact that it's a 6 pack instead of a 4 pack of tall boys. Definitely a solid addition to the NE IPA scene. Worth seeking out.

Not sure why this gets the hype it does. All I get is huge apricot taste and really thin mouthfeel. Not a bad beer, but certainly not as good as the hype surrounding it. Also the comparison's I have heard to Treehouse are laughable. It's not even close.

Hazy, orange, citrusy. Visually a New England IPA. Flavor profile doesn't deliver the expectation. Was hoping for more. Still, a nicely flavored beer worth the pour when on draft.
