A: crystal clear; deep amber in color; 1 finger off white head that receded to a wispy cap; very little lacing;

S: baked apples followed by nutmeg and cinnamon;

T: can't define the initial taste, but it morphs into warm apple cider, then into apples baked with brown sugar and cinnamon; very little bitterness;

M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation;

O: interesting; not something I would drink except with dessert;

The seasonal options from T. Hooker are always on par for the season. I've had many Nor Easters poured on tap over the coarse of the past 3 years. I knew when the keg was changed because the consistency of flavor on this beer is all over. Every batch seemed to have a different flavor. However, I purchased a six pack this past year and it was not up to par. Maybe it sat just a bit too long on the shelf but it was not the same Nor Easter I am basing my review off of. I'll try again next year. A consistent darker amber/cinnamon color with lacing and good 2F head. Malty with a mix of nutty and spices.

I purchased this at Brass Rail, enjoyed on Christmas in a mug from the 12oz

The color is dark amber with good clarity and two fingers of beige head with very fine bead and spots of lace. The smell has a lot of malt in the nose with toasted ester and mild berry odor with a light herbal hop scent. The feel has a lot of malt with sweet tinge and light toasted texture with moderately carbonated with semi-dry finish and medium full body with mildly bitter finish.

The taste has a mellow entry with hints of toast and caramel and light fruity element with slight berry aspect and subtle spice with gentle nutty and slight vanilla taste with a hint of herbal hop as it finishes. Overall I think this is a decent lager- nice full malt with style seems to be fest/bock very drinkable and clean
